Seven A Quiet Conversation The Lance & Barrel was decidedly quieter that evening as Kalum sat with Trinn, waiting for Blemm and Hack to arrive. It was still early, and only two others occupied the tavern. Gargan stood hunched at his regular place wiping down a stack of mugs behind the bar, and a quiet old man, tattered and tipsy, sat alone with his beer at a nearby table. For a while, they sat in silence, much like they had on their ride from Terrawood, where the only conversation had been him telling Trinn about Rothburn’s offer.
