Chapter 4 - home

Hayley POV

I start to back up and he follows me into the room and closes the door behind him, I don’t know what to do, he’s huge but smells quite good. I run toward the the bed again and just start throwing everything, cushions, pillows even the trinkets from the bedside table, he dodges everything I throw at him so easily. Eventually after there is nothing left to throw he walks over and sits down.

“Hi I’m Shane, what’s yours” he says

I just look at him, I don’t care who he is I want out of here. I look over at the door he came in wondering if I can make it, he sees me looking “I’m not going to hurt you, nobody’s going to hurt you, I want to help you”

I look at him again and can tell he is telling me the truth “look Shane was it? I just want out of here, I want to go home and make sure my friends are alright” I say. I don’t even know if everyone got away.

“Well if you tell me who you are and what happened I can help you” he says, I think for a moment and realise, I have no choice I’m just gonna have to tell him if I want to leave.

I stay where I am and fix the jumper that moved up when I was throwing to cover more of my legs. Then sit down at the opposite side of the bed.

“I went camping with some friends when some big wolves attacked us, we all ran in different directions but most of them seemed to follow me, I just ran until I ended up here, that was 2 days ago but I don’t know how long I’ve been here. And I’m Hayley. And I just want to go home” I told him he stays silent for a moment then says “you’ve only been here a day, you arrived yesterday, and Where was your campsite? We can go make sure they are gone, find any belongings you may have left and make sure the rouges are gone”.

“Thanks, I left my bag with my phone in it, why would they attack us?” I ask. “ I’ll retrieve it for you if it’s still there, I’m not sure but I’ll try and find out. If you don’t mind me asking I do have to ask, why do you smell completely human. But you shifted? And how were you white?”

That’s when I remember, I turned into a freaking wolf, a 4 legged, fluffy tailed wolf , how the hell did I do that? But before I can answer he says “there’s also the question of why gold flowers appeared around you when you passed out? And then followed you untill you woke up, that was pretty strange”

“I don’t know anything about the flowers, my mother’s a witch, I gained some nature powers when I turned 16, maybe they grew because I lost control when I fainted? My father is human. I don’t know why I turned into a wolf, I barely remember doing it, I just remember seeing my reflection in the mirror as a wolf and then it’s all kind of fuzzy” I tell him. I’m not sure why he’s so interested in me, and why did flowers turn around me, I’ve never made a gold flower, I can make daisies and roses, help a tree grow, vines move but gold? Gold freaking flowers?.

He sits there, then stands and heads towards the door, “I will go and see about your bag and friends,a friend of mine I’ll arrive shortly, she will how you here you can get something to eat, feel free to use the bathroom, fresh clothes I’ll also be brought to you” he says then closes the door behind him, I look around, then on the door slightly, there some if guy sitting outside on his phone, he looks up and smiles, I smile back and close and lock the door.well I don’t think I can get out that way, I head over to the window and it looks like I’m a few floors up, can’t go that way either. As I’m trying to think of a way out, I start to smell a lot of dirt and grass, I look at my feet and I’m caked in mud, I never noticed when I threw on the jumper. I just wanted out, I head over to the bathroom and decide I might as well get this mud off since I’m stuck here I might as well be clean. I start the shower take the jumper off, takes a little time to work the temperature,was far too hot but eventually I got it right.

Shane’s pov

I’m sitting in my office, thinking over what I just discussed, with my mate, Hayley.. if her mother is a witch and father is human, she can’t possibly be a wolf, but she is, it makes no sense, unless she doesn’t know the truth either. After a few moments my father walks in, “hi son” as he comes in and sits down “can we talk now” he asks. “Hi dad, yeah what’s up?” “I just wanted to say, I’m happy you found your true mate, but your mate, how is it she’s a white wolf? But smells human?” He asks so I tell him about the conversation I had with her. He looks like he is thinking about something then says “the royals were white, some had unique powers, some distant royals were even human witches, no wolf but the powers of one, no need to use spells like a witch they just made things happen, there was a gala once when i was a boy, when you were around 3 all ranked members were invited, from hundreds of different packs, it was a run down castle they used for it, many alphas at the time felt mocked, but halfway through when i was talking with other alphas, you were with Cameron and his parents for the night, the king and his mate stood and thanked everyone for coming, and that they were finally expecting a baby they had been trying for years with no luck, and told everyone that it would be a girl. I remember this part like it was yesterday, I had never seen anything like it till your mate showed up, The mother, the queen took hands with the king, raised her other hand up and he raised his, then a gold glow fell from their hands and every flower, tree, vine, everything that nature had taken a toll on started to heal, the vines that stretched along walls moved off the walls, the dead grass and trees came back to life, even new flowers started to grow, everyone was mesmerised. Even the alpha of blood wood”

The rouge kings pov

After all these years Hope is not lost, I might have stolen my thrown, but soon I won’t need to force loyalty with violence, they will give it to me blindly, all these years I’ve punished backs for not abiding to my laws, wiped packs out, all the retaliation from packs the attacks on my thrown, because of king lucian but that’ll change, soon they will bow, there true princess will soon be at my side, yesterday I felt her,everyone had thought she was dead, I had seen the kind find heir bodies while searching for them, seen him go crazy with grief and drag theirs bodies away into the woods, we retreated, can’t fight crazy wolf that’s got nothing to loose.

But princess hayley, the one who was supposed to be my mate, but I felt her power, the power she had showed many years ago through her parents, the one the prophesy speaks about, and she will be mine, I will get that power mating her will bring me and the entire wolven society will submit to me as their true king.
