You leap onto the tracks and run into the tunnel. The darkness swallows you whole, broken only by the faint glow of emergency lights.
Your breathing is loud.
Too loud.
You force yourself to slow down.
Think.
The tunnel splits ahead.
Left or right.
You glance back—
They’re gaining.
And then—
A distant rumble.
A train is coming.
