I have been limiting my interaction with Ryan as much as I can, ever since I overheard him putting Nicole in her place, for me!
I don't want to read too much into it, but no one has ever stood up for me the way Ryan has.
I was certain that he would be pissed off at me. Granted, he's barely said two words to me since, but it doesn't feel like his sour mood is directed at me.
I glance at the time, and I am excited to see that it is lunchtime, which means time with my baby!
Before I head up to get Angel, I walk over to the adjoining door to check-in with Ryan.
"Mr. Sullivan, if you don't mind, I was going to take my lunch break now, while you have a break in your schedule." I say nervously, though I don't know why.
