I can't believe what I am hearing! This is why she ran? Over a bet!!! A bet that I didn't even participate in! Why didn't she just let me explain?
I am overcome with emotions, but I know that I cannot explode, or I will blow my chance at her ever accepting me as her mate.
"I heard you that night. You asked me to be your girlfriend, and then you started making fun of me with your friends. I couldn't believe that I fell for it. Why would the next alpha of the Azure pack want to be my friend, let alone my boyfriend!" She snorts.
Even though she didn't give me a chance to explain, I can understand why she thought I was in on the bet. I might not have participated, but I should have really shut down that stupid bet talk, but I was young and stupid.
