Chapter Ten

2116 Words
Aaliyah It has been exactly a month since I've had s*x with someone for the first time. I thought I would be feeling guilty about losing it to some random dude, but to be honest, I got over it and s*x is actually kind of nice. I just felt a bit disturbed of who I've done it with. Well, at least I won't see him anymore after that. I mean it was just a one night stand. It's now Friday and I'm in my English class. I love writing, I got a passion for it. Everyday when I have the time, I've always jot down some ideas. I create some characters in my head. Without anyone knowing, I role play them out when I'm alone. Call me weird, but that's just me and I don't give a f**k who thinks it is. Since English is my last class of the day, our teacher, Ms. Spellings, had us watch the movie Hamlet with Mel Gibson, since we are in the unit of reading Hamlet. See now, I cannot and do not understand Shakespeare for s**t! I know it's an old language and all, but damn! I can't even make out to what the f**k they are saying in this damn play. Everyone in the class was chilling and watching the movie. But as for me, since I sit way in the back corner, I took my phone out and went on i********:. So, I tuned the movie out. As I was scrolling through, I've seen that some chapters have been updated on Episode Interactive. The app had the nerve to freeze on me a couple of times, which irritates the f**k out of me, but I managed to get it as I got into it.  I looked up to double check and see if Ms. Spellings was looking, she wasn't so I went back and continued on with the story until it was over. I just hate it when these authors leave off with a cliffhanger, but I guess that's how they keep us readers in tuned with s**t. "Alright everyone, what can you describe with this particular scene here?" She re-winded the movie a bit and played a scene where she was talking about. It was when Hamlet's father's ghost appeared or something. "Can anyone explain to me what is happening in this scene here?" She repeated but no one said anything. "Someone say something or I'll call on victim." She scanned the class room until she made her decision on who to call. "Miss. James!" Damn! Just my luck. "Can you elaborate to the class what was happening in this scene?" "Uhh... Hamlet's father's ghost appeared, aaannnddd..... he was signaling for Hamlet to go with him. Horatio, Marcellus, and Bernardo tried to warn him not to go, but Hamlet didn't listen and followed his dad's ghost anyway." I shrugged to see if I'm alright. To be honest here, I was bullshitting what I was saying. I didn't pay attention to a damn thing. "Good observation Aaliyah, but next, please pay more attention to the screen up here and not the screen in your hand." She gave me a stern look and I gave her the 'okay' look. Finally, the bell rings and I hurried out of the door so I can go and get ready for work. Then afterwards, I can take my ass home. Today so happens to be my 18th birthday, and yes, I am working on my birthday. I ain't stopping my grind for s**t. Anyway, I'm not to big on celebrating it, but my friends wants too. Sabrina and Sasha wants to make sure we celebrate it some kind of way. So, we all agreed that we have a sleepover at my house after work tonight, since I get off at eight. Kind of late, I know, but s**t it's the weekend. "Liyah!" I heard someone shout out my name. I turned around and saw that it's Sasha that called me. "What's up birthday girl!" She cheesed at me. I gave her a small smile and said "hey" in return. "So, where you headed too to celebrate your day?" I rolled my eyes and smirked at her. "Girl, I'm heading to work. I'm trying to get this money." I huffed and smiled at her. "Really nigga!" She smacked her teeth. I chuckled at her. "Yes b***h! Just because it's my birthday doesn't mean my grind stops. I got to get my money." I said nonchalantly. "Well, you know when you get off it's going down right?" Sasha said and did some little dance. I shook my head and snickered at her. "You a mess bruh." I paused as we're making our way out of the school building. "Soo... ever heard from your potential boo Randy?" I asked her. She grinned at me and then turned away. "I'll tell you both at your house tonight." "Ohh, this must be good tea you spilling." I squealed. "C'mon tell me, tell me, tell me!" I tried to persuade her to say something, but this b***h won't even budge. "Tonight, Liyah, tonight I will let you know about everything." She said as we parted ways to where we're going.  "So you're not going give me a little sip?" I shouted back at her. She turned around and grinned at me, and then walked away. I pouted my lips in disappointment and shook my head. Then, made my way to the bus stop so I can make it to work. | | | | | "Just one more hour til' I get out this b***h!" I huffed in silence as I waited around for 8pm to hit. It just now turned 7:00 and I'm tired as it is. All day long I had to deal with school, homework, indecisive costumers, and b***h ass co-workers who is trying to get me to cover for them so they can get off early. s**t, today is my birthday I should be asking them to cover for my ass, but I didn't. I'm trying to get my money in order, so I don't have time for that bullshit. I was behind the counter on the computer. I was so occupied with what I was doing with my work, I didn't even pay attention to who walked it the store until I heard that deep familiar voice. "Hey Aaliyah!" I rose my head quickly with widen eyes as I saw who that voice belongs to. I could not believe I'm facing this fine, scrumptious, sexy, delectable, and did I mention fine? And handsome man. The same man that charmed me into giving my most prized possession that night. The same exact man that I shared the most unforgettable moment with. People always say "you can never forget your first." Well, this dude right here haven't escaped my mind when I first saw him here in this store.  "H-hey!" I spoke up to him shyly, "It's nice to see you again, ummm...Gavin." I said hesitantly. He chuckled at me, "Why you look so shocked to see me?" He rested both his hands on the counter as he smirked.  "Um... well I thought you know... that um... what we did... you know I thought that I was um..." I was trying to get the words out of my mouth but I'm too lost in thought staring at him. On top of that, his reputation is well known. "I though it was all just a one night stand you know?" I shrugged nervously. He exhaled deeply and stared deep into my eyes. "Look shawty..." he stood in his normal posture making me look up to him. Literally. "You see me as the type to just hit it and quit, do you?" I nodded my head yes at his question. "I'll admit that I am, but I did promise you that I would get you something for your birthday. Now, I'm a man of my word and never go back on a promise." I was stunned to hear him say that. "Y-you....remembered my birthday?" I stuttered. "Of course I did! What, you thought I forgot?" He crossed his arms as he displayed a big ass grin upon his face. "Kind of," I said as I shyly shrugged. He did admit that he was an hit and quit it guy and move on to the next. However, here he is standing tall right in front of me. I honestly didn't take him seriously when he said he would get me something for my birthday. "Look, let me be honest with you. I wanted you since the moment I saw you. I mean look at you..." He placed his finger under my chin and raised my head for us to see eye to eye.  "You have very beautiful features, you making something for yourself, and.... well s**t, I can't help but to look into them pretty brown eyes of yours. Now why would I pass a beautiful lady like you up." I was speechless by what he told me. I had no words to say to him. Butterflies were in my stomach again. Shockness took over my whole body. I just couldn't believe this grown ass man wanted me from the get go. I don't know if I should be petrified of it or amused with it. I stood there still glaring into his deep dark brown eyes to see if he was playing with me. "Um, what are you trying to say to me Gavin?" I asked him. He came behind the counter so we can be face to face with each other. I tried to tell him that he's not allowed to around this area, but all he did was smack his lips and said: "Man, I don't give a shit." He waved off, "I want somebody to tell me I'm not allowed to come back here." I laughed at him knowing that was serious. "Well, I'm telling you that you can't be back here." I cheesed at him. "And you think I care?" he flashed his smile at me. He is honestly so damn sexy to look at. "So, what time do you get off?" "In thirty minutes, why?" "Cause, I wanna take you home that's why." He leaned on the on the side of the counter never taking his eyes off of me. "Um... well you see..." I was cut off when my manager spoke up. I turned around and looked at her. "Excuse me sir?" She said to get Gavin's attention. "This area is for employees only." She explained to him with some attitude. "Yo shut the f**k up! I do what I want to do. If I want to get back here then I will." Gavin said to the store manager. I stood there and blew air out in disbelief as I tried to get him to calm down before his ass gets me fired. "Aaliyah do you know this man?" My manager asked me. "Kelly I...." "I'm her boyfriend and I wanted to come and wish my girl a happy birthday." He cut me off. "And also do this." He yanked me by my waist and pulled me against his body and planted a big ass kiss in my mouth. He kissed me for a few seconds then he pulled away. "I'll be waiting for you in the food court boo." He winked at me and slapped me hard on my ass, then walked away. I sighed and shook my head with utter shockness in what just happened. "Aaliyah!" Kelly called me out of my trance. "Yes?" I said as I gave her my undivided attention. "Look, I know it's your birthday and all, and you probably haven't seen your boyfriend all day and what not, but next time, keep your personal life and you job responsibilities separate. That's all I'm saying to you." She stated out to me. "Yes ma'am, I'm sorry. It won't happen again. I also want to apologize for that. He can be full of surprises." "Okay." She nodded her head in assurance. "Well, since it is your birthday I'll let you off early." "Are you sure?" "Yeah, it's fine, I can finish up here." "Alright well, I guess I'll see you Monday then." "See you Monday, and happy birthday." She commented to me. "Thank you!" I made my way to the back and grabbed my belongings. I called Sabrina to let her know that she don't have to pick me up because I suddenly got a ride home. She asked me by who but I didn't say anything. I clocked out, waved to my boss one final time, and headed my way towards the food court to meet Gavin. I know I shouldn't be anywhere near him since Sabrina told me his occupation, but what can I do? I'm too much of a nice person to turn s**t down. When I spotted him, he was sitting at one of the tables talking on the phone. When he saw me, he hung up and smirked at me. I let out a big sigh and made my way over to him. Man, this was some birthday.
