"You call this a coffee?! It's practically ice water!"
Bibi's voice cracked across the department floor, sharp enough to make three people flinch at their desks.
Tina stood frozen in front of her, a paper cup trembling in one hand.
"I'm sorry, I thought you liked it…"
"Did I ask you to think?"
Vivian stepped off the elevator just as the words left Bibi's mouth.
She stopped walking.
The floor hadn't noticed her yet.
Bibi never did, not when she was mid-performance.
"You've had one job all morning," Bibi continued, flinging the cup toward the trash bin and missing.
It rolled under a desk, coffee spilling into the carpet.
"One. And you can't even get the temperature right."
Tina bent down immediately to retrieve it, murmuring another apology.
“I'm really sorry..”
Vivian's brows arched in disbelief; who the hell hired such an ill tempered department head?
Cassandra, who was a step behind her, went still.
"Ms. V…" She called quietly. “I've been meaning to tell you. Someone made a complaint about this anonymously.”
Vivian turned to meet Cassandra's gaze in disbelief.
“What?”
“Its been a week now. I didn't think it was a serious issue…and you were busy with the merger.”
“Seriously? It's been three days since the merger.”
Cassandra bows her head, “I'm really sorry, Ms. V.”
"Get me the footage from this floor. For today. And the last two weeks."
Cassandra didn't ask why.
She was already dialing security before Vivian finished crossing the floor.
The footage came up on Cassandra's tablet forty minutes later, in a spare office two doors down from where Bibi sat, blissfully unaware, filing her nails at her desk.
Vivian watched in silence and lord was there a lot of files showing Bibi faye!
Bibi, snatching a printed report out of Tina's hands and claiming it as her own in a meeting.
Bibi, wincing dramatically and clutching her wrist the moment a supervisor walked by, then flexing that same wrist freely the second his back was turned.
Bibi, sitting in Vivian's chair, in Vivian's office, phone raised, filming herself.
Cassandra's mouth tightened at that one.
Vivian said nothing. She scrolled forward.
Bibi, snapping at an intern for bringing the wrong lunch order, loud enough that people two cubicles over stopped typing.
And the most startling of all, Frank, the head of department, looking glazed over in his seat while Bibi performs oral on him under the table.
“What the….?” Vivian frowned as she looked away.
"Ma'am, do you want me to keep going?" Cassandra asked quietly.
"No." Vivian said, "I've seen enough."
She sat there a moment, hands folded, something settling behind her eyes.
If there's one thing she would never stand for, it would be bullying. She's experienced it before and wouldn't wish it on her worst enemy.
"Get me her team.."
"Now?"
"Now."

They filed into the small meeting room one at a time, Tina first, then Tony, then Caroline, all of them exchanging glances like none of them knew why they'd been summoned and all of them slightly afraid to ask.
Bibi arrived last, smoothing down her blouse, a smile already fixed in place.
"Ms. Vivian." She said the name like a badge. "Is everything alright?"
"Sit."
Bibi sat, though her smile faltered at the tone.
Vivian remained standing at the head of the table, sleeves rolled up to her elbow.
"I want to ask everyone here something." Her voice was calm.
"How long have you worked with Bibi?"
Tony glanced at Tina.
"...A few months."
"And in that time," Vivian continued, "how many of you have covered her workload?"
Silence wrapped the room and Bibi's eyes seemed to widen at the accusation.
"Tina?"
Tina's eyes widened. "I…"
Vivian exhaled and nodded "It's alright. Just answer."
"...A lot of it," Tina admitted quietly. "She said her wrists…"
"Both wrists," Vivian said. "For weeks."
Bibi's smile cracked at the edges.
"I did strain them during the sports festival, I don't understand what this…"
"Sit still." Vivian didn't raise her voice. She didn't need to.
She turned the tablet around and set it in the center of the table.
The video began to play.
Bibi's face went the color of chalk the moment her own voice came through the speaker.
‘This is where she sits.’
Her own laugh, spinning in Vivian's chair. Her own hands, sliding Tina's printed proposal into her folder like it belonged there.
"That's not…" Bibi started.
The video kept going. Nobody in the room spoke.
Tony's eyes remained steady, almost in relief that this was finally coming out in the open.
Caroline's eyes were fixed on the screen like she couldn't look away even if she wanted to.
Then came the footage from the pantry; Bibi hurling a paper cup at Tina less than an hour ago, and the audio?
Lord, the audio made it even worse.
‘Did I ask you to think?’
Tina flinched again, just hearing it back.
"I can explain…" Bibi's voice had lost its silk.
"You don't need to. I watched it happen with my own eyes an hour ago. This…"
Vivian tapped the screen, "...is just confirmation."
She let the silence stretch.
Bibi's fingers curled tightly around the edge of the table.
Vivian's eyes moved slowly around the table and nobody corrected her.
Bibi's mouth opened and shut again.
"You lied about an injury to avoid your workload while handing your assignments to someone else.”
Vivian's voice hadn't risen once, and somehow that made it worse.
"You walked into my office, uninvited, and used it as a backdrop for a video."
"I only wanted…"
"I don't care what you wanted."
Bibi's chin trembled. For the first time since she'd walked in, she looked caught.
"You are dismissed from Pearl Corporation, effective immediately."
The words landed like a slammed door.
"What?" Bibi's voice cracked.
“If you read your employee's contract correctly, intimidating fellow workers is reason enough for termination.”
Tina glanced from Vivan to Bibi.
“Ms.V. I am not complaining. Everything I did, it's out of free will. I don't think there's any reason to kick Ms. Bibi out. She's your family after all.”
Vivian's brows arched. “My family.”
Bibi bit her lower lips, f*****g b***h! She can't even keep her damned mouth shut.
Bibi slipped out of her seat with tears.
“Ms. V. I am so sorry. I shouldn't have done that. I shouldn't have..”
Vivian raised her hand to silence her, her gaze fixed on Tina.
“What do you mean she's family?”
Tina bit her lip. “I'm sorry, I didn't mean to…Ms. Bibi said she would get into trouble…I'm so sorry.”
“She told you she's a member of my family? Is that it?” Vivain asked once more.
The silence in the room was more than enough answer.
Vivian glanced down at Bibi.
“Whose daughter are you?”
“Ma?” Bibi asked with wide eyes.
“Whose daughter are you? If we're related I should at least know whose kid you are.”
Bibi's eyes darted around in clear confusion, unable to say the words out loud.
Vivian chuckled in disbelief.
“Unbelievable.” she muttered. “I advise you to leave while your dignity is still intact.”
Bibi's eyes darted around the table, searching for someone, anyone, to back her up.
Tony looked away. Caroline stared at her own hands and the team lead who she'd been f*****g clearly had no balls to look her in the face either.
Fucking assholes! All of them!
"Security will escort you to collect your belongings," Vivian said. "You will not be returning to this floor unsupervised."
Bibi shot up from her chair so fast it nearly toppled backward.
She glared at Vivian, gritting her teeth hard as humiliation rolled over her like a storm.
“Do you have something to say?” Vivian asked.
"You…" Her voice shook, equal parts fury and humiliation.
She was way too furious to let the words out.
Bibi grabbed her bag off the back of the chair, knocking it against the table hard enough to rattle the water glasses.
She paused at the door, glancing back at Tina one last time, something venomous flickering across her face before she stormed off.
The door slammed behind her hard enough to shake the frame.
Nobody spoke for a long moment.
Tina finally broke the silence, voice small.
"Ms. Vivian, I…."
"You don't need to explain."
Vivian's voice softened, meeting the younger woman's eyes.
"You did nothing wrong. She counted on you not saying anything. That's on her."
Tina nodded, though her eyes were still glossy.
"Take the rest of the day," Vivian added. "Paid."
Tony and Caroline exchanged a glance, clearly unsure if the offer extended to them too.
"Both of you as well."
Vivian picks up the tablet, flips it shut before handing it over to Cassandra.
"Get some air. Today's been enough."
She glanced at the team lead, recalling the disgusting video of him having his groin sucked by Bibi.
“And you too, Mr Frank.”
The man met her gaze in genuine surprise.
“Ma?”
Vivian returned her attention to her tablet without another word, her assistant already marking the unspoken words behind her silence.
That man is getting fired for sure.
“Thank you, Ms. V.” They chorused before leaving the office.
“When should I send him his letter of termination?”
Vivian exhaled.
“Tell him to resign instead. Hopefully he learns from this.”
Down on the ground floor, security stood beside the revolving doors, waiting.
Bibi walked past them with her chin held high, sunglasses back in place despite the whispers following her.
She didn't look back. But her fingers, wrapped so tightly around the cardboard edges they'd gone white, told a different story entirely.
Outside, she stopped at the curb, breathing hard, the humiliation still burning up her throat like acid.
Cars passed and nobody looked at her twice. Just hours ago half that building had hung on her every word.
She pulled out her phone.
Her thumb hovered over a contact she hadn't spoken to in months.
She pressed call.
It rang twice before the line connected.
"...It's me," Bibi said quietly, eyes flicking back toward the glass tower behind her.
"I need a favor. And I know exactly how to get you what you want."
"I'm listening."
Bibi's lips curved into a smirk.
