As Adrian Blackwood drank his coffee, the cool air mixed with the scent of roasted beans, and the morning light illuminated the horizon in shades of scarlet and gold. Across from him, Elena's emerald gaze darted between Adrian and her laptop. As she worked on some future event preparations for the vineyard, her gentle hums filled the silence.
The low grumble of an approaching engine broke the stillness of their moment. As the noise increased in volume, Adrian tensed up and narrowed his eyes. Adrian gripped his coffee cup tighter as the driver of the sleek black sedan stepped out as it came to a stop in the driveway.
