Even though the vineyard was serene and glowing softly in the late afternoon sun, my thoughts were everything from calm. A bewildering jumble of feelings, choices, and irresistible desire had characterized the last several weeks. Even though Adrian and I had made a deal based on common sense and reciprocity, I was beginning to sense something more profound. Despite my best efforts, I was unable to ignore it.
