Each plant in the vineyard's infinite rows of vines, which were illuminated by the late afternoon sun's golden rays, was a tribute to the Blackwood family's history. Standing at the edge of everything, I saw the laborers in the fields below, the peaceful hum of the countryside a sharp contrast to the whirlpool of ideas racing through my head.
This universe had always revolved around Adrian. He had owned the vineyard, the company, and the name from the beginning, and I had just been a minor detail.
