With its walls covered with volumes that appeared to whisper secrets every time Lily entered, the library always looked like a wonderful place. In the large mansion, it was her favorite room. Except for the odd creak of the floors and the gentle ticking of an antique clock on the wall, all was silent. However, there was something unusual and thicker about the air today.
Why she was pulled to the little desk in the corner was a mystery to Lily. Old and solid, it had always been there, yet no one ever appeared to utilize it.
