With my bag draped over one shoulder, I entered the home and heard a faint murmur of people. Today at school had been... challenging. My peers had been different—far apart. It seemed like no one understood me anymore, and I wasn't sure whether it was just me or if something had changed.
With a groan, I kicked off my shoes and threw my rucksack onto the sofa. There was none of the normal commotion of Adrian and Elena, and the home seemed oddly quiet.
