The next morning Elise was back at the B&B to continue her war on ugly wallpaper. She plugged in the steamer and waited a few minutes for the water to heat. It really was a two-person job, but Elise needed the money for the property taxes. She had always been resourceful and with a step ladder and a little balance she was able to steam the top section of the wallpaper, loosen it and move to the lower portion of the wall.
She steamed the edge of the thick paper and it began to peel. With satisfaction, she pulled the paper forward as she continued to steam away the glue on the bottom half of the wall. The section of paper was nearly three feet wide and Elise let it billow over the top of her and the ladder as she climbed down another step and pulled the paper off.
