Reyna watched Tianna playing Halloween bingo with the kids. After two hours of being open they finally had things flowing smoothly. Reyna was shocked to see how many women showed up today to sign their kids up. Tianna was right when she predicted that she would get at least thirty kids.
Reyna was sorting through the paperwork and payments that mother's made. So far she was at 52 kids. Tianna would have to hire at least two more workers because from the pile of papers that Reyna was looking at they were at full capacity. Tianna was approved for 75 kids but she had to have more employees to handle all of the kids.
For now both women were thankful for Keon and Niko staying to help out. The kids ranged from 3 to 10. Tianna wasn't ready to take in baby's just yet and she had to be sure that every child who was in the day care was potty trained. There were some women who got upset with Tia for not accepting their child.
Reyna couldn't believe how they acted. Some didn't even have jobs. It was clear that they had came for Tianna's husband Keon. It was trifling to see them staring all around Tia trying to get a peek at that man. There were other women who came looking for his brother Cash. Tianna was annoyed with the fan club but she kept it professional. She even let Keon deal with some of them because that was what they wanted in the first place.
Reyna had to admit that she admired the confidence that Tianna had when it came to Keon. She turned her back on females that she her self would have watched real f*****g close. They were touching on his arms and s**t trying to talk to him as if Tia wasn't even there. But it didn't bother her at all. She was more excited about all of the kids.
The daycare was a huge space that Tianna had found when she was looking for something to expand another store. She fell in love with the space and decided to forget about the other store. She wanted to make this a daycare. She had to do it, even Keon egged her on to buy the space. He wanted to do it himself but she beat him to it.
She had a contractor come in and add bathrooms. There was two different sets. One on the first floor and one on the second. Each had four stalls for girls and four stalls for boys. She had a bathroom placed in the office that Reyna was in to keep the adults like Keon and his friends out of the kids space if they stopped past.
The main area had a colorful carpet made up of different shapes beside each other. There was a desk that sat behind glass for someone to welcome the parents and walk ins inside. Tianna wanted to make the process of kids coming and going safe. She never wanted a kid going missing on her account. Today Kaden would work that desk, he just didn't know it yet.
When you got pass that area you walked into a hallway. There was all types of little cubbies for the kids to put their belongings that they would be taking back home with them. Parents are permitted in that area and can even bring a lock to put on the door of their child's cubby space.
Tianna didn't know if the kids would steal from each other but prayed they didn't. Some kids didn't get taught that taking someone else's things was wrong. She prepared herself for the different parenting choices mother's and father's made. But that didn't mean she wouldn't run into problems.
The hallway had three different rooms that the kids could get too. The first one was for the 3-5 year olds. The second one was for the 6-8 year olds and the last room held the older kids 9-10. Choosing what ages to put together was hard for Tianna but she was testing her luck.
Each room was decorated depending on the age group and the activities she had found for them. She knew that kids at the age of 3-5 didn't really care for schedules. They were still young and not in school. The 6-8 group would spend most of their day in school so Tianna had tables where they could do their homework in half the room. The other half had toys, different art supplies, and even a TV if they just wanted to relax and watch a movie.
The older kids room was probably the most expensive. Tianna had a flat screen TV inside for the kids to watch shows. There was a homework section. A game section where the boys could play Xbox or PS4. For the girls there was a section where they could make necklaces, bracelets, learn to crochet whatever you could think of. Tianna wanted to keep each age group as busy as possible.
The mothers who toured the different rooms fell in love. But that was only one reason to love the daycare. At the end of the hall was a door that had stairs behind it. On the floor below was the kitchen, dining room, and a play/nap room that the kids would be able to use for both playing and naps after they ate. The kitchen was child proof and looked like one at their own house.
Tianna had the play/nap room full of some of the same toys in the rooms above. But the topper for most of the mom's was the fact that Tianna provided all food, snacks, and drinks for the children. Keon suggested she did it because of the area her daycare was in. He knew that some of the women were struggling to put food in they own house, they would struggle to bring enough food to daycare for a week as well.
Reyna checked the camera to see who was coming in the front door. Cash breezed right in grabbing the door. He tried to pull it open but only heard the sound of the lock. You couldn't get into the second door without being buzzed in. He looked around the room for a camera. Reyna decided not to watch his little show. She got up from her seat and went to open the door for him.
This was the first time Kaden seen Reyna in light, and standing up. He gave shorty's thick body a once over. She was cute in the face but her body made him look twice. He watched her ass shamelessly as he followed behind her into the office. Reyna was thrown off by why he came inside of the office.
"Your brother is down stairs." She told him. He looked up and a smirk appeared. Reyna watched as he licked his lips.
"My fault." Reyna stood there staring at him the same way he was doing her. She couldn't deny that Cash was fine. His black curly hair seemed so damn dark. Having to look up at him wasn't fun but she didn't mind since his smile was dreamy. Plus he had enough tattoos for you to catch something new every time you looked at him.
"What's your real name?" Reyna couldn't take staring at him without saying anything.
"Why?" He leaned against the desk while Reyna sat back down in her seat.
"I don't want to call you Cash. That's." She stopped not wanting to offend him.
"That's what? Everybody loves Cash." He said taking off his jacket and revealing his arms that was tattooed. He sat his leather on the back of the chair Reyna was in just to f**k with her. She didn't seem nervous around him like other girls.
He found it funny that she was asking his real name because other girls didn't do that. Rachelle knew his real name but that was because she had met his Keon's mom on Easter. She didn't call him Cash and he wouldn't dare tell her too. Kaden was his name to her and nothing else fit her son's brother. Every other female loved calling him Cash.
"It's stupid. You couldn't pick something else like, money or bill or Dolla?" She asked Kaden.
"Well pick something else to call me." He sat on the edge of the desk shrugging his shoulders.
"I choose your first name."
"Kaden." He said and she looked him over.
"Kaden." A smile appeared on her lips. "I like Kaden better than Cash."
"You can't be going around calling me by my government. Only my mom got them type of privileges." She sucked her teeth.
"Yeah I hear you Kaden." He looked down at her. "Or I can call you." She placed the pen to her lips as if she was thinking. "Slim." Kaden sucked his teeth.
"You weak as hell with the nickname."
"I guess you got one for me already." Reyna looked up at him waiting for him to get quiet and prove her point.
"Honey Dip." He smirked. She rolled her eyes.
"Boy get out of here."
"You don't like it? You look like you sweet." He bit his lip and she tilted her head to the side.
"Bye Kaden. I've entertained you enough for today. You should be downstairs helping."
"I'll go after you give me ya number." He said smoothly picking up her phone off the desk. He knew she had a password like every other female. When he hit the home button two times he was shocked to see the phone open right up. "You don't believe in protecting ya s**t?" He asked her holding her phone so she could see that he got into it.
"I don't have anything to protect on that phone. This." She pulled out a second phone from her back pocket. "Is my new phone." She hit the home button twice to show him that she didn't even have a passcode on that one. "I don't have nothing crazy on my phone." She shrugged.
"But what if you lose ya s**t? You know how easy it would be to lock you out of ya own s**t?"
"I didn't think about that."
"Stick with me, I'll get ya mental right." He touched the side of her head and she smacked his hand away.
"Bye Kaden get out. I have work to do. Go ask Tianna about what she needs you to do at the front desk."
"Front desk? f**k I look like." That got his attention and made him leave Reyna alone in the office. She watched Kaden walk down the steps and to the room where all the kids were. She could tell from his reaction that he didn't expect to find so many kids. Reyna went back to doing her work.
She finished sorting through all of the papers, and put the money away. When she finished cleaning up everything she checked the notifications on her phone. Her i********: was popping as usual, Serenity had responded to her message on Snapchat but not her text. She hated when she did that.
Reyna had told Serenity about what Kaden had said to her about Lauryn but Serenity didn't seem to care at all. Reyna wanted to confront her friend but not alone. It looked like she was going to have to since Serenity's response was about her talking to Kaden to see if he would talk to Serenity. She rolled her eyes and closed the app not even thinking of responding.
The phone buzzed in her hand and she looked down to see a iMessage notification from an unknown number.
4127295896 Come save me Honey Dip
Honey Dip: how did you get my number
Kaden♀️: I still got ya old phone. Who saves their new number in they old phone you some kind of a special or something?
Honey Dip: you some kind of a stalker or something .
Kaden♀️: I gotta be a stalker ♂️ did I not ask for ya number
Honey Dip: I never said you could have it.
Kaden♀️: baby I take any and everything I want
Instead of responding back to Kaden, Reyna left the message on read. She gathered her phone and put her purse away in the safe. She made her way down the steps so she could help out with snack time. She knew bingo was probably over at this point if Kaden was asking to be saved. When she got down the steps Kaden was sitting in the kitchen with his brother and Niko.
He was looking down at his phone smiling about something. Reyna heard Keon say something about him smiling at his phone and he looked over to the side. She knew he had seen her standing and staring at him. She didn't want to hear him say something slick so she continued pass the kitchen straight past them and into the playroom.
Tianna was thankful to see that Reyna had finally finished the paperwork. For some reason she was exhausted. She had a lot of energy earlier in the morning but now she was drained. It was probably because of how late she went to sleep.
"You want me to take over for snack time? Give you a break." Reyna asked Tianna and she smiled.
"Please. Don't worry about tomorrow, we'll have three new workers by tomorrow. I already have some women coming in for interviews. Just let me know which group you want to work with."
"Will do." Reyna said as she made her way up to the front. The kids were all talking about the prizes they had won while playing Bingo. There was fake spiders, cans of spray webs, and even some cute little rings for the girls.
"Alright kiddos." Reyna spoke loud enough to make them all get quiet. "What is Halloween without A PIZZA PARTY!" She jumped up playfully the same way she knew the kids would. They all got excited looking around the room. Tianna had Reyna order pizza and when she walked past the kitchen she noticed the guys eating their own special box she had ordered for the adults.
"Alright so this is how this is gonna go. We'll do table by table getting your pizza and juice. After you finish Ms. Tia made you guys some of the coolest Halloween treats. How does that sound?"
"GOOOOOD." All the kids yelled back to her. Keon came in to the room wrapping his arms around Tianna. He was proud of how she handled everything today. They both sat in silence watching Reyna move around taking orders for what kind of pizza the kids wanted. Keon knew it would take Reyna a while to do it by herself so he grabbed his uncle and brother making them help Reyna too. They all took the time to get each table food and drinks.
By the time they finished the room was full of small chatter and the smell of cheese and pepperoni pizza. Tianna leaned against Keon happy that he was there and stayed for the whole day. She would give him some tonight and add on a round since they didn't get to do it earlier in the day.
"Thank you for being here." Tianna had to speak on how much she appreciated her man at the moment. "It means the world to me that you're here right now."
"I wouldn't dare be anywhere else." He whispered into her ear. He wanted to keep things cool for the kids. They weren't their boys who was used to Keon being all over Tianna. "I'm moving in." Keon wanted to wait until the day at daycare was over but he couldn't. He needed Tia to know that he wasn't waiting anymore.
"You sure?" She asked him and he nodded his head.
"Do you not want me too? We can find something bigger if you want?" Keon just didn't want to hear her say no.
"Jeremiah was going to ask you why you didn't do it already." She smiled throwing Keon completely off. He looked down at her and grabbed her hand.
"Reyna we'll be right back." He said to her and she waved her hand to let them know that she had everything under control. She was sitting at a table with some little girls. Tia and Keon wasn't sure what they were talking about but the little girls seemed to like Reyna. Kaden was even sitting at a table with little kids making them laugh from something he had said.
Tia prayed that he wasn't being inappropriate in front of kids that didn't belong to her or his brother. She decided to just give Kaden the benefit of the doubt. Tianna was supposed to take a break anyway. Keon led them up the steps to her office that she shared with Reyna.
The office was so neat and organized thanks to the younger woman. Tianna didn't care about the paperwork, Reyna liked both parts of the job. She didn't know it but Tianna planned on leaving Reyna in charge of the whole daycare operation. She had to focus on expanding her boutique now. When she finished with that she would return to the daycare. Or maybe she could have Keon find her a space. He helped find this one.
Keon sat in the computer chair pulling Tia down on his lap. " Jeremiah wants me to move in?"
"Yes. He asked me about you all day yesterday after you left." A smile formed on Keon's lips. He was excited to know that not only was he moving in, but Jeremiah was warming up to him.
"That's probably why he spoke to me this morning."
"What he spoke to you?" Tianna laughed knowing Jeremiah was just like her. He took his time deciding if he liked somebody or not. Reyna was the first person that they took to quicker than usual.
"Yeah said good morning and thanked me when I stopped an argument between him and Jax." It seemed like something little but for Keon and Jeremiah it was huge. He muttered a hi to him every morning that he was there but that was it. More than one word for Keon was perfect.
"Look at y'all bonding in the morning." Tia messed with the chain that was around Keon's neck. She loved when he wore the charm with the letters K and G. Tianna never got to meet his dad, but sometimes she wished she did. Niko had stories for days about how much Keith and Keon were alike. "Are we going to do something on Thursday?"
"For what?" Keon had no idea what she was talking about.
"November 7th, that's your dad's birthday right?"
"Damn, I didn't even think about it. I got so much s**t going on with Kaden and Khalil's ass."
"What's up with Khalil? He just disappeared for real." Keon looked at Tianna. He had picked and chose what he wanted her to know. Niggas loved the fact that Keon finally cared about a female. They made threats that she had no idea about. Before they could actually pull anything off, King was on they ass. He wouldn't dare let anybody touch a hair on Tia's body. Only he could have and touch her.
"You know how brothers get. Fighting over stupid little petty shit." He told the truth without any details. In his head the beef that Khalil started was stupid. Keon knew what was up. He wanted to take his spot but he was too eager for it. Before Kaden came along, all Keon had was Niko, Terry, and his brother Khalil.
Terry had warned Keon that he couldn't trust every nigga who came talking that KG s**t. He felt like King should get a blood test with any and every nigga and even females that came along. He didn't make Khalil take one because he felt bad for how down his brother was. He couldn't have that.
But now with Kaden around, he felt it was time to make Khalil prove he was indeed a Gilberto. Kaden didn't hesitate or care that Keon asked for the test. He took it because there was no reason for him to lie. Plus Kaden didn't know what came with being a man under the legend of Keith Gilberto.
It was weird to Keon that Kaden didn't know much about their father. It didn't make sense to him. It was part of the reason he had made Kaden get a DNA test just for some proof to be able to trust him. Keon had a lot more going on than with his brothers.
Khalil knew everything there was to know. He said his mom had told him all about his dad. His interest was piqued so he learned as much as he could about him on the streets. That story could have been true but Keon knew better than to just trust somebody because they said some s**t. It was now time for Khalil to go under the radar like Kaden once had.
"Well maybe they can put that behind them and come out to support you." Tianna touched the KG charm one last time before pulling away from Keon completely. She could feel his phone vibrating in his pocket against her butt. He pulled his phone out looking to see an unknown number. He placed his phone on the desk not about to entertain somebody who couldn't call with a number he could see.
"I hope so. Kaden was asking me about going to his grave sight so maybe that's what I'll do this year. Just me and my brothers if you don't mind."
"Of course not." Tianna's insecurities were at an all time high. She heard Keon talking but she couldn't help but to look at his phone ring from an unknown number for the second time.
"Baby if you want to answer it you can." Keon picked up on her vibe. He could care less about the call, he was putting together a plan to get his two brothers in the same room to talk and for Khalil to take a test. He noticed Tia pick up his phone and he sighed.
He knew that without trust you didn't have s**t, and for some reason all of a sudden Tia was acting like she didn't trust him. For Keon their relationship was moving forward, he wasn't so sure if Tianna was feeling the same. She answered his phone. "Hello"
"Tianna?" Jordyn asked with an attitude. She didn't like that some female was answering her baby daddy's phone and she didn't sound like his girlfriend Tia. There was only so much that Jordyn could take from Keon.
"Yeah hey Jordyn." Tianna looked over to Keon and noticed he looked upset.
"Girl I thought you were somebody else, I was about to cuss you out then Keon's ass." Tianna laughed. At first Jordyn hated her but now she was all for Tia & King. They had been going strong longer than Jordyn's relationship lasted with the man.
"Girl with all the fans that came up to the daycare today I'm surprised it's not somebody else." Tianna jokes.
"I don't know how you do it Tia, but you can't leave us now. You're my baby's world." Jordyn meant every word. If Keon ever f****d up with Tianna, Jordyn wouldn't dare let any other b***h be around her son. He would still go be with his brothers and step mama. Jordyn was able to be secure about the position that Tia played in her son's life because of the talk they had years ago.
Tianna was a real woman in Jordyn's eyes. She explained her love for Keon Jr , and told her that if she didn't want her around her son she didn't have to be. But that wouldn't stop Keon from picking up her kids to be with his son. She didn't care if they couldn't get along, but preferred that they did for the sake of their kids. Even Tianna's kids went and spent time over Jordyn's house without any problems. Tianna and Jordyn changed each other's views on how a baby mother could get along with a girlfriend so their kids could grow up together peacefully.
"Don't worry I would never leave KG. " Tianna meant that. "But I'm going to give the phone to Keon, I gotta go help clean up."
"Alright girl. Make sure you leave a spot open for KG."
"Trust me he's always welcome." Tianna passed the phone over to Keon. He still looked upset but didn't say anything to her. He let her leave the office before he placed the phone to his ear.
"Baby mama." He spoke making Jordyn laugh.
"Baby daddy we got a problem."
"What's up?" She paused for a minute.
"I lost my job. Well I got laid off. They told me there was a possibility they could rehire me later, but for now I'm laid off." She spoke quickly. Even though Jordyn didn't have feelings for Keon, she cared about what he thought of her. She never wanted him doubting the mother that she was to their child. Her relationship with Keon was complicated really.
"So that's why ya phone is off? Who phone you calling me from?" Keon didn't trust people not in his circle.
"My sister's."
"What's ya account information so I can pay ya bill."
"No Keon, I didn't call for that. I want you to take Keon for this school year and I keep him on weekends. I talked to him about it and he liked the idea. I just wanted to run it by you."
"I'm moving in with Tianna, he got a room there so if you cool with that then that's not even a question."
"Finally y'all asses moving in together. When you getting the ring?" Keon heard Jordyn's sister in the background talking s**t on not understanding why her sister let Keon talk about Tianna to her. "Girl mind your business. At least my baby daddy and his girlfriend take care of my baby. I ain't about to be bitter about a good woman helping me the f**k out."
"That b***h probably be talking s**t on ya stupid ass."
"ANYWAY this little miserable b***h wants her phone back so."
"Jordyn text me ya f*****g information so I can pay ya bill. You not about to walk around with ya s**t off when I can pay it." Jordyn didn't want the help but she needed her phone to find another job so she was going to take Keon's help. "What else do you need? You good on rent and ya bills? Food?"
"I'm good for this month. You know I just bought my car with my savings so that's gone. The only other money I got is KG's savings we started for him. I'm not touching that so I'm looking for another job. "My lease is up at the end of this month, now that I think of it." She sighed. Jordyn was just standing up on her own two feet without anyone's help.
Her family had always doubted that she would be something without Keon. They swore up and down that he had made her into somebody. Jordyn grinded overtime to prove them all wrong. Once she was good, she shitted on her family. Now she felt like the quote "God don't like ugly" was letting her know she was wrong to not remain humble about her come up. She just couldn't help herself. She had been down before though and she would get back up.
"Take my place. KG already got a room there. I can pay the bills on it until you get another job. You'll be straight there, Niko live like ten minutes away. The school is close too." Jordyn knew this was backtracking and her family would have more to say but she had to think of KG at this point. She was going to move in with her sister, but she knew her son didn't want to be there at all.
"Keon I really appreciate you. Even after everything we went through you still have my back."
"What type of man would I look like to my son if I let his mom just fall flat on her ass. Start packing y'all s**t. When you ready to move let me know, I'll have Kaden or Terry come help you out."
"Okay thank you."
"It's nothing." Keon hung up the phone and waited for Jordyn to text him her information. He couldn't believe that after the slimy s**t Jordyn pulled once before that he could forgive her. But he had too, it was the only way he was able to go on with his own life. Of course he had his moment where he was a w***e, f*****g anybody he came across. He started testing just how much bitches would do for his attention and money.
When he met Tianna though, he fell back into reality. Unlike his friends and even his brothers, Keon yearned for love. He wanted a wife, the house, the cars, and the kids. He watched his dad have it all plus his side bitches but that got his father killed. He was on such a high and felt untouchable.
Keon's first body had come shortly after his father was set up to be killed. The same way the woman used her p***y against his dad, he used it against her. Had her head wide open. Even dated her a little while to see if he could figure out who put her down with setting up his dad.
She couldn't speak on who. One night he got her close to telling him the truth so he knew she had to go.He couldn't risk things and used her as a sacrifice for the moment. Everyone around Keon knew once he found the nigga who set up his father to be killed he would kill him. Only Keon knew just how complicated that would be. The only thing that mattered was that everyone around him felt like he was going to handle the situation if he crossed paths with the man who killed his father.
Jordyn f*****g Niko had almost turned him into another heartless ass nigga but Tia saved him from that. She even helped him to get over what the two did. Niko was his uncle, but no one but the two of them knew that. Not even Kaden. He was like a guardian angel to Keon sent by a man who played the shadows in Keon's life. He was his secret weapon. Jordyn was his first child's mother and whether he liked it or not he would deal with her for the rest of his life. They didn't end up together and at this moment he didn't understand what he was mad for. At the end of it all he felt like he was the winner.
****
Lauryn looked out of her window. Serenity had showed up to her place unexpectedly and she was in the middle of something. She looked down at her little lace lingerie and sighed. She opened the door and poked her head out. "What's up?" She asked her.
"I can't come in?" Serenity asked looking at her friend closely. When Reyna told her that Cash suggested something about her getting high she had to test it out. If it was true she could use the s**t to her advantage. Lauryn opened the door for her knowing that Serenity probably wanted some money. She could give her a few dollars then send her on her way.
"You need some money?" Lauryn didn't pretend to hide her annoyance. She wanted to get back to riding Isaac's d**k. He was a guy she had met only a few hours ago but he brought along a distraction so Lauryn was feeling real good even though his 6 inches wasn't doing much for her. An idea snuck into her head but she needed Serenity to go first.
"I'm surprised you got any money." Serenity said throwing Lauryn. Did Serenity think that she could insult the one person who kept her ass fly just because?
"I should be saying that to you." Lauryn spoke boldly. She was high and when she was she felt different. Her common sense went out of the window. She knew she couldn't beat Serenity but she didn't give a f**k at the moment. For once she could speak her mind about the shady s**t Serenity had been on. "That's the only time you come around me."
I gotta make sure my friend ain't smoking up all her money." Lauryn noticed how the word friend came out. It was as if she didn't consider her a friend. She missed the fact that Serenity knew she was getting high. Maybe if she would have noticed it might have helped Lauryn. She could have told her friend that she had lost control over her addiction and needed some help.
But since Lauryn had a few lines before she came down to get the door, all she could think about was having one more. She was sure it would get her as high as that first time. That was always what she seemed to be chasing, her first high.
"b***h if you don't want to be my friend no more than don't. I don't need you, you need me." Lauryn stepped closer. She was testing to see if Serenity was really stupid enough to cut off her money supply.
"Girl you better back ya fiend ass up. I'll f**k you up Lauryn." Serenity pushed her. To her surprise Lauryn didn't back down. She charged at Serenity jumping on her. Punches landed all over the top of Serenity's head. She was trying her hardest to get Lauryn's crazy ass off of her. But Lauryn wouldn't budge.
Lauryn heard a male laughing and almost forgot about Isaac being there. He lifted her from off of Serenity who was looking crazy. Her usually nice hair was all over her head. Her face was red and she could feel a bruise forming on her face. She was pissed off. What made matters worse was the fact that when Lauryn was being pulled off of her she stretched out the black tank top she was wearing so her titties was all out.
Serenity was a pecan brown skinned female. She had got her long pretty hair from her daddy's Dominican routes. She kept her hair dyed brown and orange. The colors brought out her big brown eyes. She had small lips and a button nose. Sometimes she was teased for having what people would call "white girl" lips. She didn't care though because that was all people could say about her.
Serenity had ass for days, her titties were only a B cup but that didn't phase her. She felt like niggas checked more for ass now a days. With the number of bodies she had she knew that niggas was checking for ass. Niggas never believed that she had only two bodies and truthfully she didn't. She could take a d**k in her ass and she didn't tell them nothing about that until they were in the act.
She was ten niggas deep and none had turned down the opportunity to slide into her ass hole. She had two pretend it was his first time but when the nigga was blowing her up and acting stupid she knew he wasn't new to this. He was probably down low and didn't want to get caught so a female who was with it was the perfect cover up.
"Damn ma, them some nice titties." Isaac said to her. He was excited to see Lauryn had company. She was a beast by herself but he was now hoping he could talk her into inviting her friend. "Lauryn who ya friend?" Isaac wiped his nose. He was high out of his mind as well. He had to be since since Khalil sent him on a dumb ass mission that turned out to be a whole bust.
"That b***h ain't my friend." Lauryn spat. She roughly pushed Isaac's hands off her waist. She didn't even realize that she had just pissed the man off. He didn't like how she talked to him. He grabbed her by the face roughly.
"Who the f**k you talking to b***h?" He smacked her across the face. Serenity didn't care what Lauryn had just did she wouldn't let a woman get hit by a man in front of her. Serenity's mother had shared stories with her about how abusive her grandfather had been to her grandmother.
Serenity didn't really remember those moments and she wasn't about to have a memory like that, especially not with Lauryn. She jumped up quickly ready to attack.
"Don't be putting ya hands on her." She jumped on his back and started to throw blows. Isaac thought that this chick had to be as high as her friend. Lauryn got up soon after Serenity hopped on his back and begin to help her. Meanwhile on the other side of town Reyna was getting herself together so she could leave from work. Tianna had asked her to take her boys trick or treating while she closed up the daycare and she was happy to do so.
It had been a while since Reyna had been trick or treating herself since she was an only child. She always wished for a sibling that she could take trick or treating and to do other things like going to the park, bowling and seeing new kid movies.
Jaxson and Jeremiah were sweet boys in Reyna's eyes. They had always been respectful and Jaxson had the cutest crush on her. She even called him her little boyfriend. He was a cute kid, he had to take after his father because him and Jeremiah looked nothing like their mom. Tianna didn't talk much about the man, so Reyna didn't know anything other than the fact that he wasn't around.
While Reyna grabbed her purse she sent a text to Lauryn to make sure she was still coming with her. It wasn't like Lauryn to not text her right back. The girl stayed on her phone. Reyna was a little worried but knew that soon enough she would be making her way to her house.
"What you about to get into?" Kaden scared Reyna. She didn't hear him walk into the office.
"Minding my business." She mumbled making Kaden laugh.
"Well lucky for you I'm ya business tonight. You need a family member to pick up the boys." He said and she sucked her teeth. "Quit all of that, you know you happy to ride with me." He smirked. It disappeared when he noticed that she didn't get all happy like other girls.
"Let's just go. I need to check on Lauryn before we pick up the boys." She told him and he nodded his head. He put his leather jacket on looking at Reyna crazy. She was only wearing a thin hoodie.
"That's all you wearing? It's gonna be cold tonight." He said.
"Look at you all concerned." She smirked. "I have everything I need in my car."
"Ain't nobody concerned. I just ain't want to see you looking stupid like most females do trying be cute and s**t knowing y'all cold as hell." He laughed. The pair made their way to the front of the daycare. Most of the kids had left but there was still a few in the rooms playing and watching TV. They had to be tired because Reyna was getting there.
Kids always had a lot of energy and today was no different. Reyna had chosen the 6-8 year old group as her own. While the kids ate their food and snacks they were the ones to invite her to sit with them. They talked about cartoons she could stand, what grades they were in, and they seemed to be the calm group. She could deal with that. Plus they would be in school until 3 so she could come in at 11. Tianna had approved the schedule.
She couldn't wait to come back tomorrow to have some more fun with the kids. For now she was going to enjoy trick or treating with Jaxson, Jeremiah and hopefully Lauryn. Reyna stepped to her 2015 smokey blue Kia Optima. She opened the door with her key. Her eyes couldn't help but to watch Kaden.
He crossed the street and was walking towards a ruby red BMW 4 Series Gran Coupe. He touched the hood of the car before unlocking it with his key. Reyna stopped staring and got into her car. There was a little chill in the air but she liked it. She closed the door and placed her purse on the passenger seat. Starting the car took her only seconds.
A beep from Kaden's car made her turn her head. He had his tinted window rolled down so she rolled hers down as well. "Yeah?"
"We don't have all day. The kids getting out of school in a half hour." He said looking at his watch.
"I'm ready you the one that got to turn around." She rolled her window back up and took her car out of park. She began to travel down the street slow thinking that it would take Kaden a minute to turn his car with the other cars on the street. She didn't know that Kaden loved driving. He was always testing his limits with his baby.
Smoothly he made a u turn not hitting any other cars. He made his way towards where Reyna seemed to be taking her sweet old time. This girl was driving like a damn old lady to him. Once he got closer she took off surprising him. He found himself on 28 racing the girl. They were having so much fun that they almost missed their exit.
Kaden had to fall back because he had no idea where the girl Lauryn stayed. He followed Reyna through Lincoln until she finally pulled over. He looked at the identical row houses. It didn't surprise him that one of the women lived close to him. He wasn't going to say nothing though. He just was hoping he didn't run into the chick Serenity. She had caught his attention the other day but now it was lost.
He thought that Serenity was fine as hell then his man Cortez told him about how she was out here getting down. She had let some young nigga around the way f**k her in the ass. He was going around bragging to everybody. That wasn't something to brag about to Kaden. He was looking at the young nigga kind of suspect like. Everybody was into they own s**t, but Kaden just didn't understand how a nigga f****d a female in the ass.
Kaden didn't see the need to get out of his car. He was on i********: scrolling through his timeline. A picture of Rachelle appeared and he laughed at the quote 'You slept on me so now you can only dream of me'. It was corny but he knew she was talking about him. He double tapped it just to let her know that he seen it. If anybody was dreaming about the other it was Rachelle dreaming about him.
Kaden looked out his window. He saw a car that looked familiar. It was just his luck that Isaac was somewhere in these row houses. He had to figure out which one though. Maybe the girls knew dude. He watched Reyna finally get out of her car. It took them fifteen minutes to get here so she had five minutes to get her friend or he would leave her ass.
She crossed the street to where he was parked and his eyebrow raised. "You just had to see me one last time?" He asked her once his window was down.
"No, I'm scared. Can you come in with me?"
"Scared?" Kaden was now looking at Reyna funny. Would she try to set him up? She couldn't be that stupid.
"Lauryn is the one who was wearing pink. The one you said was high. I just thought. Never mind forget it." Reyna was annoyed that she thought that Kaden would care even a little bit about her friend. He was the one who pointed out her drug habit to her. Plus the way he was looking at her let her know that he didn't plan on getting out of his car to check on her friend with a drug habit.
"Aye." Kaden called after her. He reached in his door to grab his pistol. He wouldn't dare be caught without it again. Khalil had almost got lucky, but not this time around. "Next time if you say forget it, I'm going to forget it." He warned her as he stepped out of his car. They crossed the street together. Reyna lead them on to the porch.
Kaden could hear a lot of noise behind the door. Reyna looked to him and he pushed her to the side. He stepped back kicking the door. It popped right open because Kaden had his fair share of experience with kicking in doors. But neither of them was worried about that right now.
They walked in to see Serenity on Isaac's back hitting him while he had Lauryn pushed down on the couch. He was choking her and Lauryn was clawing at his hand for dear life. Kaden c****d his gun making all of their attention fly to him. "Damn nigga ya mom never taught you not to put ya hands on no female?" Kaden was now replaced by Cash.
He stepped further into the house closing the door as best as he could. Isaac quickly let go of Lauryn. Serenity got off of his back. She was upset that Cash had came with Reyna. She was only concerned with if they was f*****g or not. Cash ignored Serenity's glare and focused on Lauryn who didn't seem to be catching her breathe no matter how hard she tried too.
"You oughta be ashamed of ya self." Cash said walking to Isaac. He tried to step back but Serenity held her foot out causing him to trip. Cash threw a quick glance to her and smiled. Her insides heated up from the quick smile. Cash towered over Isaac with a look that terrified him.
"Man come on, you know I ain't want to do that s**t with Khalil."
"You know what my brother taught me about niggas like you? Niggas who always play pussy." Cash smirked. He wanted Isaac to try to answer. Isaac didn't say anything though. He put his head down knowing that because of Khalil he was about to lose his life. "Khalil didn't teach you the saying?" He asked him.
"No man." Isaac said. He didn't want to play one of Cash's mind games. Isaac had seen him in action and he knew how Cash loved to taunt niggas before he killed them. Isaac was praying for some way out of this but he knew better. Once Cash was set on killing you, he did just that.
"What type of friend is he? Risking your life and shit." Cash laughed. "Play p***y and get fucked." Cash whispered to Isaac and punched him in the face. He pulled back and hit him in the face with the gun in his hand. Blood splattered all over Cash's leather and black shirt. He could hear the girls behind him yelling but he was in his own zone hitting Isaac in his face over and over. Cash stopped only for a second. He knew that Isaac was barely holding on.
"Kaden please stop." Reyna had stepped closer. Usually nobody could stop Cash when he got started but for some reason he couldn't finish Isaac the way that he planned. He looked over to Reyna who was standing over him looking scared. She touched his arm and he felt something. Quickly he pulled his arm away from her.
"She's not breathing." Serenity spoke behind the two. There was a jacket on Lauryn's couch and she focused on putting that on then Lauryn. She was tired of watching Cash stare down her friend. She could tell that he was thinking of something while looking at her. Isaac was slipping away but it seemed that Lauryn had went out first. Reyna rushed to her friend feeling scared. Cash knew how the cops was in Lincoln. They didn't come until you called. Even then sometimes they didnt f*****g come.
"Watch out." Kaden picked up the girl and walked to the door. He quickly stepped out of the house and over to his car. He opened the back door sitting her inside of the back. Reyna slid in with her more concerned about her friend. Serenity took the passenger seat happy to be close to Cash.
When they were all in he pulled away from the scene to get to the closest hospital he could think of, St. Margaret. Cash sent a quick text to Cortez with the address he knew that Cortez would catch his drift. Cash heard Reyna trying to wake up her friend. He knew she was dead but his mind went straight to a cover up. He had to make sure that the girls understood they couldn't tell the truth when the police asked. The last thing he needed was to have cops on his ass. There was one cop in particular that Kaden didn't have time to be crossing paths with.
"How come you didn't speak the other day?" Serenity asked Cash making him look at her with disgust.
"Ya friend is in the back of my car dead and that's what you worried about?" Even Reyna was looking at Serenity like she had lost her f*****g mind. She didn't even look back at Lauryn once. Kaden pulled his phone out realizing he almost forgot about the kids. He called Keon knowing he was about to get an earful.
"Wassup?"
"You gotta pick up the kids. I'm kind of in a little situation."
"Come the f**k on Kaden. You left a half hour ago what the f**k could you have gotten into that quick." He looked back at Lauryn's dead body.
"You don't even want to know."
