CHAPTER FOURTEEN : The fresh, chilly air of the November day was welcoming after the air-conditioned offices of MI6. Jen knew the area better than Alex and, together, they took a taxi to a restaurant favoured by Jen. Within twenty minutes, they were sitting opposite each other in a very busy Scott’s Restaurant on Mount Street in Mayfair, with Elsa curled up under the table at Alex’s feet. They were extremely lucky to find space, but, fortunately for them, there had been a cancellation. Jen was recognized by both the bowler-hatted doorman and head waiter. She had used this renowned restaurant on several previous occasions, while working in London.
