Elsa had no difficulty in recognizing the changed Alex. As usual, she nearly knocked him off his feet, greeting him with many licks, her tail wagging excitedly. “I can’t send her back to the training centre”, Alex thought. He knew that it would not be fair on his canine friend to abandon her, even for just a short time.
Jen arrived a few minutes later and was similarly greeted by Elsa, who was now getting used to her master’s new friend. All were, by now, hungry. Fortunately, Alex was well prepared and had plenty of food stored in freezer, fridge and cupboards. The couple decided on pork steaks with potato wedges and vegetables to satisfy their appetites.
