As they entered the board room, Alex heard chairs being scraped on the floor as the strangers stood up. Who could they be? Alex was curious to find out.
Professor Goldman spoke. “Could you introduce yourselves, please?”
“Certainly.” The first man walked up to Alex, took his hand and shook it firmly. “Brigadier General Paul Marshall. Pleased to meet you, Captain McCloud.” His typically-military voice indicated someone not just of high rank, but something even more exclusive and important.
