Opening the cupboard, I let out a soft groan, spotting the telltale blue packet at the back. "Looks like it’s you and me again," I muttered to myself, pulling it out. As I swirled boiling water into the cup, my phone began vibrating furiously on the countertop. The familiar name flashed across the screen: Alex. I hesitated, staring at the phone as it buzzed relentlessly. Did I want to answer? Cora rumbled silently with indifference. Letting out a sharp breath, I reached for it and answered. "Aurora," Alex’s voice broke through the line, heavy and strained. "Alex," I replied curtly, my voice void of any warmth.
