Alex paced the room restlessly, his jaw tight and hands curling into fists at his sides. His phone’s screen cast a pale light onto his face as he scrolled through the latest pack updates. The air around him felt charged, thick with his frustration and pain.
“They’re living together,” Alex whispered, his voice low and almost disbelieving. He stopped pacing, turning to face me with a look that was both incredulous and desperate. “Aurora… and Marcus. Under the same roof.”
