Jax’s POV
The celebration continued until midnight. Afterward, at three in the morning, I sat on my comfortable bed. I lay back on the soft sheets and closed my eyes, covering them with one arm while the other rested at my side.
‘Are you going to live here again? What about Elena?’ I groaned in annoyance when Fenrir spoke inside me.
“And now you’re bringing that up?” I replied irritably.
‘What? You nearly risked your life for her while you were together. You’re giving up on her that easily?’
Elena’s image flashed in my mind. A lump formed in my throat at the thought of leaving her alone in the human world, but…
“This is my real home, Fenrir. Our real home. And she’s a pure human. Soon the Moon Goddess will lead us to our true Luna, and we must accept it,” I said.
