I stared at Catherine, who looked different from the last time I saw her.
She looked terrible. Her face had many scars, probably from the torture she received from Jax and the pack.
“Did you enjoy your little time with Jax?” Catherine asked, as if planning something horrible. I didn’t answer and just glared at her, but I was stunned when she slapped me hard. “Stop glaring at me or I’ll gouge your eyes out!” she threatened, holding my face with her nails digging into my cheeks.
