The Alpha Queen

Chapter 5

A woman screams as the sound of stuff gets scattered and male voices draw everyone's attention. They struggle to see what's going on but Isabel breaks through the crowd to get to where the noises are coming from, she arrives and sees an injured woman being dragged by two muscular men, she intervenes turning into a werewolf as she growls loudly at them, freeing the woman from their grip and protecting her, she's strong and fierce and the sound of her growl reaches where the princes and Rekka are. The other two men transforms into werewolves trying to fight against Isabel but she uses her fangs and claws to defend herself injuring the men coming at her and once again growls loudly. The road is cleared as the prince walks through the crowd to get to them, with the two men injured, Isabel transforms back and approaches the woman with bruises on her body and a bleeding hand "Are you alright?" she asks but the woman cries not uttering a word, " What happened, what did they do to you?" she asks again but gets no reply " What's going on here?" Prince Haywick asks with a commanding voice, to which Isabel answers " I don't know, she was being attacked". Prince Farrel is also present as he looks at the situation, one of the two men who attacked the woman runs and falls at Prince Haywick's feet "My prince, the woman was caught trying to steal from us?" "That's not true" the woman revolts crying. "Calm down" Isabel asks of the woman while holding her. Prince Haywick approaches the woman and asks " Is this true?" " No!" the woman answers crying, " I was only taking what belongs to me, they owe me and refused to pay". Meanwhile, Rekka and her friends manage to get in front of the crowd and behold Isabel with the woman, " Isn't that your sister?" one of the girls asks " What's she doing there?" "Trying to play hero as usual" Rekka replies with a frown on her face. " And where's your evidence that they owe you?" Prince Haywick asks, " I have none" the woman replies "Come on now Haywick" Prince Farrel says " Do you have any evidence? Does the tears in her eyes look fake to you?" he asks " Lies my prince" one of the man utters loudly, " She's well-known for her lies and deceitful nature, even her tears can't be trusted" he adds, "Unbelievable!" Isabel counters "So you mean to say she is at fault? Then why is she the one bleeding" she asks. " And who are you again? Her daughter?" Prince Haywick asks Isabel " I'm not her daughter but I'm someone who won't stand for injustice" she utters confidently. " And did you think of the possibility of your judgment being wrong before taking sides" the prince asks "Unlike you my perception of right and wrong isn't clouded by selfishness and pride" she revolts. Prince Farrel keeps calm and keenly watches her, "And how dare you speak to me in that tone" the prince asks angrily. "A king or prince in this case can only be respected based on his ability to make sound judgment and notice that which you have failed to do" she revolts. Prince Haywick goes extremely angry and growls at her to which Isabel growls back. Prince Farrel grabs Haywick's hand trying to calm him down while looking deadpan into Isabel's eyes. "Calm down, Haywick, this foolish girl doesn't deserve a reaction from you," he says. "I'm foolish but am not supporting an unjust king who oppresses rather than protects his people, you're all a bunch of hypocrites, all of you in that palace" she replies angrily. Suddenly the royal guards come with clubs and axes to defend the princes. "What are you going to do now, arrest this injured woman because you believe the lies of these two?" She asks with outrage. Prince Haywick is pissed off and replies "No but I'm going to ensure you get punished so much that next time you won't dare open your mouth to speak anything about the king or anyone of royal blood" with that he transforms to his werewolf form growling at Isabel as he draws closer to her. "Your sister's in trouble, aren't you gonna help her?" Rekka's friend asks her. "Nah, she's getting what she deserves" she replies with a disinterested look on her face. Isabel observes the situation as the prince and the guards come towards her. She transforms howls loudly and then growls as loud as possible, intimidating both the prince and his guards as she hurriedly puts the woman behind her she strikes some of the guards and then gets to one of the carriages, puts the woman in, and then proceeds to turn back to a woman as she rides it with speed away from the sanctuary area. "After her!" Prince Haywick exclaims angrily as the guards switch to their werewolf form and chase after Isabel. Isabel rides fast as the wolves chase after her, and she manages to lose some of them. She's almost at the woods, but the carriage tires are hit and it flips up in the air, Isabel manages to land on her feet as a werewolf and saves the woman from crashing to the ground. She puts the woman on her back and runs as fast as she can, even as two other guards chase after her, she goes into the woods and they follow her, she manages to fight one off but the other chases speedily, almost reaching her. Suddenly, Prince Farrel arrives as a fierce werewolf, from a side cut and attacks the last werewolf guard chasing after Isabel, the wolf is injured as Prince Farrel stands and growls loudly which sends the injured guard running away in fear. Isabel stops and turns to look at who saved her, she sees a really big and strong wolf behind her looking directly at her, it takes her only a moment to glance at him and then continue running with the injured woman on her back.
