CHAPTER FOURTEEN The Flame, an upscale spot in the heart of downtown, is owned by a classy guy named Lyle Orick who comes from Minnesota. This plush club features a jungle bar that includes live monkeys and exotic birds. They have excellent food and the best dance band in the southwest, Al Overend, and his Orchestra.
