CHAPTER FORTY-SEVEN
I fix dinner for the kids and myself as Blondie is working late. They agree that I'm not in their mother's league as a cook but they enjoy the pancakes and eggs, which are almost exclusively Sunday breakfasts. For them, it’s a real treat.
After we eat and the dishes are washed, I call Palumbo at home. His lovely wife, Sandy, takes the call and gets Joe on the horn. I fill him in on the Yolanda-Sonny Johnson affair. He agrees that we better start looking under some other rocks. We might come up with a motive. He said that Corrigan is furious because the dragnet has failed to locate Sonny. Bob is one hundred percent certain that Sonny is the killer and wants him in the worst way.
