Cassie
An annoying beeping sound pulled me from my slumber, I stretched, only to feel a terrible pain in my ribs and legs. My heart started racing as images of the last few days flew into my mind. Was I still in that room? Was I really saved?
The beeping sound became louder, “Cassie, Cassie,!” A panicked familiar voice.
My eyes shot open. There in front of me was the best view I had ever seen. My beautiful mate standing over me, “Cassie, are you okay?” The worry in voice was tangible.
“Andre…” I tried to say it but my voice came out all croaky. He leaned over and picked up a glass of cold water. I sipped it slowly, allowing the ice to soothe my very sore throat.
