When Silitsia heard the defiant words of the man sitting in the dark shadow, all the villagers' eyes turned to her. The silence was so thick it could almost be felt in the air. Anger began to well up within Silitsia at the man's condescending attitude. But she maintained her composure. He tried to protect it, because every step here could determine his fate in the coming days. As the man extinguished the candles one by one, the atmosphere in the room grew even more tense. Seeing him so easily manipulate the elements only deepened the fear in the villagers' eyes. Silitsia, however, tried to maintain her composure as she watched the spectacle. Rodrigo whispered behind her with a mocking look, "You see, princess. Enemies are making themselves known." Andres approached Silitsia with concern. "We need to follow him," he said. "This man won't stay here. We need to find out who he is." Silitsia took a deep breath, seeming to have made up her mind. "No, he's not playing games with me." "He's trying to play. But I'm not going to play by his rules." At that moment, the man had stepped out the door and disappeared into the village square without a backward glance. But the relighting of the candles, one by one, had brought a strange sense of peace to the place. As the villagers whispered to each other, Silitsia quietly sat back at the table and once again scanned the villagers. He thought to himself, "If there is to be a change, I will make it with my mind, not with my strength." Andres supported Silitsia's determined stance, but Rodrigo remained skeptical. "Princess, are you sure? If you don't make a move, this man will see you as a weak link." Silitsia turned her gaze to Rodrigo and replied in a calm but determined voice: "This is not a show of force, Rodrigo. I will win their minds. Not with force, but with confidence." Silitsia suddenly jolted from her sleep in the stillness of the night. Her breathing had quickened, and her forehead was covered in cold sweat. The darkness enveloping the room created a sense of unease within her. She glanced around immediately and realized something was amiss. A figure was shrouded in darkness in the corner of the room. Squinting more closely, she realized she wasn't alone. The mysterious man was sitting in a chair, watching her. “What are you doing here?” Silitsia asked, her voice harsh but with a hint of fear. “You have questions for me,” the man said with an expressionless face. Silitsia was unsettled by the man's attitude. Unable to suppress the questions in her heart, she asked, this time in a harsher tone, "Who are you?" The man stood up, a slight grin on his face. "Come with me," he said, and quietly left the room. After a brief moment of hesitation, Silitsia obeyed and followed him. He led them through dark, deserted streets, deep into the forest. The air was cool and gloomy. Silitsia had difficulty seeing her surroundings as she quickened her pace. Suddenly, the man raised his hand and created a small fireball. This fireball floated in the air beside them, illuminating their path. Silitsia looked at the man's action with astonishment, and said, "How do you do this? Firepower belongs only to my race." Without hesitation, the man replied with a touch of sarcasm, "Your race? Didn't they tell you the truth?" Silitsia looked at the man's face in surprise. "What truth?" The man continued on his way without speaking, finally bringing them to a dilapidated house. He opened the door, and they went inside. Inside were two old chairs. The man sat on one and motioned for Silitsia to sit on the other. After the silence, the man spoke. "Everything you know is wrong, princess. The origin of your power is not limited to the gods. Control of the elements is not limited to your lineage. The truth is far more profound than what you have been taught. darkness." Silitsia shivered, yet at the same time, her mind was confused by what this mysterious man was saying. "What do you mean?" she asked, staring at him. The man took a deep breath, his gaze fixed on Silitsia. “The power of your lineage comes from a source far older and more dangerous than you realize. And you must be prepared to learn these truths.” Silitsia remained silent, staring intently at the man's words. Confusion welled up inside her; the rumors about his power contradicted everything she had been taught her entire life. On one hand, she feared that what this mysterious man said might be true, and on the other, she wished it were all a lie. But this man, Kaelis, He was looking at her as if he were about to reveal a long-kept secret. "What do you mean?" Silitsia repeated, this time her voice trembling but firm. "What truths are you talking about?" Kaelis leaned forward slightly in his chair and began to speak. “Your lineage’s power stems from beings older than the gods. These beings were the true masters of the elements, and even the gods could not control their power. However, a pact was made back then. While power may seem to be bestowed upon your noble blood, a price is actually paid with each generation.” Silitsia's face turned pale. "The price? What price?" Rodrigo thought for a moment, then shrugged and gave up. “Okay, princess. I trust you. But remember, everything that happens to us will be your responsibility.” Andres and the others silently nodded, indicating their agreement with Silitsia. Even though everyone questioned Silitsia's decision, they made it clear that they would not leave her alone. Silitsia held the stone tightly in her hand, letting it shine again. "We will set out at dawn tomorrow morning. Make your preparations. It will be a long and dangerous journey."
