I Do

The moment was truly remarkable. Aurora Leigh's entrance down the aisle elicited a priceless reaction from everyone in attendance, especially her parents. Their expectations of her wearing a traditional white gown and appearing as a blushing bride were shattered as Aurora walked in donning a black leather outfit that accentuated her curves. She confidently wore no makeup and let her vibrant red hair flow freely. The only element of tradition present was the beautiful white bouquet of roses she carried in her hand. It was a bold move, and Aurora's entrance left an indelible impression on all those present. Matthew Leigh and his wife Antonia were completely bewildered by what was happening. Just twenty minutes earlier, they had seen their daughter in a beautiful white dress, but now she had completely transformed. They knew she did not want to get married, and she had tried to convince them to change their minds, but they had never expected her to go this far. When Aurora had requested to walk down the aisle alone, saying she had a special surprise for everyone, they should have known that something was up. They were aware of how mischievous their daughter could be. As Aurora made her way towards the altar, her parents' shocked faces turned towards the groom, hoping he wouldn't reject her because of her outlandish attire. If he did, it would be a disaster for the Leigh family. Aurora was consumed by a sense of defiance as she stood at the altar. She refused to be forced into a marriage she didn't want, and she was determined to take control of the situation. As she gazed at the man standing beside her, she couldn't help but feel a twinge of curiosity. Who was he? What did he want? She had so many questions, but she didn't want to ask him. She wanted him to reject her so she could escape this unwanted marriage. But as the ceremony continued, Aurora couldn't help but feel a strange sense of attraction to Drake. She found herself drawn to his strong, masculine presence, and she couldn't help but feel a spark of desire when he looked at her with those piercing silver eyes. Despite her best efforts to push him away, she couldn't deny that there was something about him that intrigued her. She would be a bad wife, yes, but she would also be her own woman. And if that meant challenging Drake at every turn, so be it. The man who stood before Aurora was a striking sight to behold. His towering height, impressive muscular build, and chiseled masculine jawline were alluring features that captivated her attention. His jet-black hair was immaculately styled, and his piercing silver-colored eyes glistened under the light, leaving Aurora mesmerized. She found herself staring at him, completely taken aback by his unearthly beauty, unable to look away for several seconds. "What am I doing?" Aurora thought to herself, mentally scolding herself for admiring the man in front of her. She was supposed to despise him, yet she found herself captivated by his handsome features. As Drake signaled to the stunned priest to continue with the ceremony, Aurora couldn't help but feel defeated. She had hoped that Drake would call off the wedding, but it seemed that he was determined to go through with it. However, she wasn't going to accept defeat easily. Aurora was determined to make Drake's life miserable as his wife. She refused to be an ideal, submissive wife and instead planned to be a terrible partner that would make him beg for a divorce after just one week of marriage. "Do you Aurora Leigh, take Drake Lee to be your lawfully wedded husband, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer and for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and cherish till death do you part?" She looked over at Drake, who stood next to her in his tuxedo, looking handsome and stoic. She wondered if he felt the same pressure she did, or if he was just going through the motions. The weight of the traditional wedding vows settled on her as she promised to hold him and love him in sickness and health, for richer or poorer, for better or for worse. As the priest asked if she would take Drake to be her lawfully wedded husband, Aurora's heart raced in her chest. She had dreaded this day for so long, but now it had finally arrived, and there was no turning back. With a deep breath, she said, "I do," determined to make the most of her situation and not let anyone control her life. As Aurora said, "I do," Matthew and Antonia finally released a breath they had been holding for what felt like an eternity. They had been so worried about their daughter's rebellious tendencies, fearing that she would ruin their carefully curated image in front of their wealthy peers. They had spent a considerable amount of time and money trying to establish themselves in high society, and one wrong move from Aurora could bring it all crashing down. But as they watched her stand next to Drake, her new husband, they couldn't help but feel a sense of pride mixed with relief. Perhaps their daughter wasn't as reckless as they had feared, and maybe, just maybe, she would surprise them with her newfound maturity and sense of responsibility. As the ceremony continued, Matthew and Antonia looked on with a renewed sense of hope for their family's future. "I now pronounce you both husband and wife, you may kiss the bride," the priest declared, and a mischievous idea dawned on Aurora. Rather than waiting meekly for her groom to kiss her, she boldly wrapped her arms around his neck, pulled Drake closer to her, and passionately pressed her lips against his.
