Tam and Jennet watched from a safe distance. Beyond the meadow, a dark forest rose, evergreens spiking up into the sky. Clouds began to gather in the distance. “You try,” Tam said. She reached for a nearby bloom, but didn’t have any more luck than the rest of them. “Definitely broken,” she said. “One moment.” Coranne Smith held up one black-gloved hand. “I’m going to exit game and get this solved.” An instant later, her character disappeared.
