When Ethan saw Bella downstairs at Theo Building Materials, she stuck out her tongue playfully like a child caught doing something wrong and said, "Alright, lunch is on me today."
Ethan smiled and playfully tapped Bella's nose, saying affectionately, "You have to treat me; it's your punishment for keeping secrets from me."
Bella chose a restaurant. Once seated, they ordered food and chatted, creating a harmonious atmosphere.
But halfway through the meal, a phone call completely disrupted the mood between them.
The call was from Daisy.
'Could something have happened with my mother?' Ethan frowned and quickly answered the call.
"Mr. Thomas, something terrible has happened! Ronnie got beaten up..." Daisy's wailing voice came through as soon as the call connected.
