4. The chase

i give Stormy a warning stare, just because he broke up with his girlfriend doesn't mean we have now have a chance with him what if the baby turns out to be his then what, am surely not against taking care someone else's child I would as if it is mine and we are taking about my mate's child I would love the child as if it were mine. I move away from him and look at the time it's time for us to go, he follows my eyes. " it's time for us to go." I nod at him and goes into my office to grab my bag.

We arrive at the mansion which looks more like a palace, from the corner of my eyes I see him gasp looking at the house. the all ride was filled with tension I even stopped the car just so can i breath. I couldn't concentrate on the road my body was craving for him, Stormy was pushing herself out she wanted to be close to her mate, she wanted to get close and can you imagine just how close she wanted. she wanted to crawl on his laps and straddle him my mind was on overdrive. the maids leads us to the living room. she leaves the room telling us that the boss will come soon. we seat on a two seater couch their is a bit of space between us but if we decide to move our knees can touch so I avoid it by crossing my legs and I move a bit to the arm rest.

" I knew you will be on time Ms Stone." she say working down the stairs. both me and Storm try to stand but she gesture for us not to so we seat down. " yeah I never wanted to keep you waiting." I say to her in my most polite voices which I only use for my parents.

" oh please Ms Stone, even I can't believe that I would ever work with someone as talented and hard working as you not to forget you are very beautiful." Storm nods at her word unconscious and I smirk. Although she is old she looks quite young and one would mistaken her to be in her late thirties even though she is fifty, the divorce drove her to the woman she is now confident and a well reserved woman that knows her boundaries, with no children she leaves a well endured life, the husband was a cheat.

" it's pleasure to work with you Ms Summer." I extend my hand for a hand shake and she takes it before shaking Storm's hand. " I didn't know you have a boyfriend he is so handsome and please call me Leah." I brush at her words but quickly tell her that he is not my boyfriend. She looks between the two of us before nodding her head. After a few hours we sign the contract and we bid her goodbye. we get in the car and put on our seat belt. before I can even start driving my phone rings. it's Daniel.

" Hello." I answer him. " where are you." his voice sounds panicked. " I'm at Ms Summers house, why .?" he sighs before he speaks again. " Rogues where spotted at your house." I look at Storm who is busy typing away on his phone. " what time." I ask him. " about an hour ago." he say with a relieved voice. I know which house they would think of attacking, "I need to get to the company make sure they don't come near me I have someone with me." I say the last part in a whisper which I know he understands. " They are not regular rogues that come to try and take over the pack Elina." he say in an annoyed tone. I know who he is talking about. " I know them Daniel I have to go now." he tries to say something but I end the call. "nothing is going to happen to him." Stormy say to me assuring me. I look at Storm one more time before I start driving, he is going to work as the adrenaline booster. from Ms Summers house there is big forest my house is also close by but a bit far and going there right now will put my mate's life in danger, I speed off on the road. I can feel his heart beat picking up pace, he is scared. I slow down a bit still in the forest road, I look around my side nothing even the window are bit open and I smell nothing maybe we are safe.

" they have found you, you need to move we'll be right behind you." Daniel mind link me.i look behind me to see two cars following me. s**t. f*****g bastard was hiding their cars. " we should tell mate to lay down." Stormy screams in my head. Storm keeps on checking his phone. " no other wise he will panic." I say to her, I'm not scared no I'm just worried for him I can take care of myself. " f**k how did they find me." I ask Daniel through the mind link.

" I don't know, why did you slow down you need to speed up tell Glu to fasten his seat belt." he yells through the mind link. " I'm not with Glu, I'm with my secretary you moron." I tell back. " well tell him to do the same fasten his seat belt so you can speed off." he say. " I can't he seems scared just keep them off." I reply " since when did you start worrying about that." he say with desperation. " since he is my mate." I say almost annoyed at him.

" wait, what you mean you're with your mate right now In the car damn you Elina." he say. " now keep those bastards away from my mate I don't want to traumatize him." I cut the link and clench my jaw tightening my hold on the steering wheel. his scent is the only thing that is keep me insane other wise I would have stopped the car and killed them by now. the f*****g bastard has been on my case, just because he started his pack and their are declared as not rogues don't mean I will like them and I would want to have anything to do with them delusional ass hole. " there are two cars that are following us Elina." Storm say. when my name rolls out of his mouth I feel myself relax a bit " I know." I answer him in a neutral voice. I look back only to see the two car behind us has stopped moving with one licking of smoke and the other flipped over. I guess the chase is over. after that I drive in smooth and silence Storm would look behind us from time to time. I get off the car after reaching the company and give the car keys to the security. " what are you doing here I told you i never want to see your face again." I look at the woman that is standing with Storm and he looks at me. I don't want to leave him alone with her so I head to them. " I'm sorry Elina , I will get ride of her." he say quickly starts dragging her away, I stop him. " don't you think it will be better for you to hear her side of the story." I say to him even though it hurts my heart the girl is sobbing all the time clutching her hoodie. He looks at her with so much hatred in his eyes. " I should give the two of you privacy." I say before I can even move Storm stops me. " No Elina don't go, and you speak we don't have all day to listen to you." he say to her with venom In his eyes. " I don't know Storm I don't know what to do the doctor told me that I'm a month pregnant." I feel the air in my lungs knocked out, I look at him waiting for his reaction. " Then the baby is not mine, I just can't believe you would do this to me Cassie I loved you." he say now I see love and affection he has for her. if you can see her right now you will think she is the type of woman that will forever be faithful to her man for the rest of her but it's different. " and I love you please give me a chance." she say sobbing harder and going close to him. he push her away not so hard and he turns to me with a bit of tears in his eyes. " We should go you must be tired." he walks away and I follow him, the girl sobs harder. thank God it was not on the front other wise it would have caused a scandal. I enter the office and the scent of caramel apple hits my nose. Daniel.
