“Is it really her home?” I asked Gavin slowly.
While growing up, my father didn’t really care about me. He had pretended to care about Miley at first, until his pretence wore out.
Then he began to treat her like he treated me. Even then, I hadn’t really thought of Miley as my sister but I didn’t want her to suffer. For that reason, Father would end up beating me twice to make up for two people’s beatings.
And while he was alive, Miley never really enjoyed the life of a princess. Her struggles had been engraved so deep in her that even after Father passed and I became ruler in his place, most of her habits and way of life didn’t change.
She didn’t completely see herself as a member of the Royal family or a person that could be accepted by the general public for just existing.
