Astoria Pov ~ Early morning rays of light were shining through the glass wall the day after. My puppy was already up, wagging his tail wildly and licking my hand like an alarm. I leisurely woke up with my eyes open in the big strange room. Everywhere felt more peaceful than what I was used to. I snatched my notepad from the bed and jotted down to myself: smile, don’t look nervous. As I was pinning up my hair, there was a knock at the door.
