Astoria’s POV The wedding day came faster than I thought it would. I barely slept through the night because I kept waking up every thirty minutes to check the time. At some point, Pup crawled onto my chest and refused to move, forcing me to lie flat and stare at the ceiling while trying not to panic. By morning, the maids came in with a whole line of boxes and clothes. I didn’t even understand half the things they were carrying. One of them said something about the dress being hand-stitched by a luxury engagement brand. Another said the earrings were imported. I just sat there and blinked because everything felt unreal. “Luna, can you lift your chin a little?” The stylist asked gently. I did. She checked the right side of my face, then the left where the last bit of redness remained.
