Astoria’s POV It’s been a few days since the accident, and the whole atmosphere around me has shifted. The guards now stand straighter whenever they see me. The maids move carefully like anything they do around me might get them killed. I felt their fear, and part of me hated it. Radien didn’t hide what he did to the ones responsible. Everyone heard about the guards being tossed into rogue territory and the maid losing her limbs. The pack talked about it nonstop. Every time I overheard a whisper, I felt sick.
