I turned in the bed still feeling sleepy.
I was woken up by a loud sound and the moment my senses came back, I sniffed the air in alert. I could smell the sense of another person in the room. It was unfamiliar but I could tell that I was not in danger.
But regardless I still sat up at alert because I slept alone the night before and it was definitely alarming that someone else was in my room.
I snapped my eyes open and looked around, my gaze meeting a familiar figure. I still didn't know her name but I could still remember her. She was the one who broke into my room on the day of the coming of age ceremony. The former beta's daughter.
