Beverly POV The door closed behind me and a lone tear slipped down my eyes. As I trudged down the stairs leading to my room, I ran into a few pack members on the way and some of them tried to say hi but I couldn't be bothered to wait and chat with anyone. I wasn't in the right state of mind after Zane's rejection. Even though I was well aware that he might reject me, I just didn't dare to let him go.
