Amber's POV
The reflection of the light landed squarely on my face and jerked me awake. I stirred a little trying to go back to sleep as it was quite comfy but it seemed to be a hard task to accomplish.
I reached out to rub my drowsy eyes as I sat up on the bed. Almost immediately, I felt a sudden jolt in my head making me grab my head from the intensity of the pain.
It was quite painful and I struggled to steady myself. I guessed it was a hangover from the drinks I downed the night before. I was having a splitting headache and it was as though my head was about to split open.
Eventually, it subsided a little and I was finally able to climb out of bed. But the moment I stuck my foot out, I nearly tumbled.
