'Finally, Free' - A Piece of The Healing Process
The day you left me - my heart really did shatter into one million pieces,
It really felt like all but one of those shards of my heart, my life, my purpose were long gone - that I'd never find them again.
They would all tell me that it would get better and I'd feel like myself again soon,
I did nothing but scoff at them, turning my nose up at the idea of a better life as I was still trapped under your fist - subconsciously begging anyone to aid in my escape.
It was as if my soul had vanished at that point in my life, trapped as a prisoner in my own mind - my only outlook on my life was through the cages in my eyes, unable to speak as myself - continuing to be that heartbroken and angry girl.
I wasn't even angry, I was lost - every time I lashed out at someone, I'd never mean it - but at the time, that was how it seemed to most.
"It'll all get better one day," they told me, I scoffed at them, laughing at their simplicity to tell me that.
They were not simple in the slightest. They were right.
Everything did get better.
Over time, the colour gradually started trickling back into my life - eventually turning into a flood of vivid and new takes on the world that I'd not seen in months.
The shackles holding me in that wretched cage had cracked. There was nothing to stop me from living anymore.
A tsunami of a beautiful and colourful world washed over me, completely knocking me off of my feet at first, but once adjusted, it was the most blissful thing to experience. Once again, I was filled with a desire to live and love.
I'd broken free, I'd realised that he wasn't in fact the god that I'd portrayed him to be in my own eyes - I'd finally realised that he was a monster and that he dragged me down to hell - but I got out, I escaped, and I will be forever grateful for the fact that I did - I'm finally free and it's the greatest feeling one could experience.
'I Danced with The Devil' A piece on coming to terms with the end of an abusive relationship.
The Devil masquerades as a lovely and charming being with a heart of the purest gold, hair as soft as the newest silk and, the most hypnotic eyes to ever exist - eyes that could make a crying child stop from just a simple gaze.
Surely everyone knew to be weary of things that were simply too good to be true? Right?
That is where you'd be wrong. Most of the time, one of these charmingly evil people decide to swan their way into the most unexpecting person's lives and to seduce them into whatever it may be that they wish to gain.
Once their victim has the realisation that they were simply a pawn in the game of the devil, they will go through a period of mourning. They will mourn the person that they were so convinced the devil truly was - they will weep and sob, become a shell of who they once were.
However, soon, the victim has the realisation that it was never their fault and it could happen to anyone - they emerge from the husk of the person they once were and grow to be a stronger individual. Often times they are ready to completely ruin the devil's perception of them as a helpless lamb being lead to the slaughterhouse - now emerging as the beautiful soul that they possess, a strong and empowered soul - a soul with more charisma than even the charming devil itself. They may have been dragged down to hell, but they will certainly rise up as the angel they truly are.
"I Thought" A piece on Heartbreak
There was a time when I thought you were the one for me, a time when I would've moved mountains at your simple command - a time when I would've done anything you asked of me, if you told me to drop dead - I would've.
The time I thought you were the one for me was a dark time full of horrible delusion on my end, I saw an angel when in reality the room was just pure darkness, a hallucination based off of my love for you - I thought that you were an angel sent from heaven just for me, how foolish could I have been - you weren't an angel at all - you were the epitome of the devil, an evil creature that thrived on the pain and suffering of others, eating the flesh of anything pure and beautiful.
You had crawled up from the deepest pits of hell to t*****e anyone you came across and I thought you were an angel, it must have been the spell you had me under - an angel maybe but certainly a fallen one - Lucifer himself even. As you are the most evil and twisted creature I've ever had the displeasure of coming across. Twisting the minds of anyone who ever loved you and painting them out to be crazy - it wasn't right.
I even thought that I truly loved you, I doubt that it was actually love, it was more that I was trapped under your spell with no way to get out - even though I did love you, I was certainly trapped - and I certainly don't love you anymore, love and hate are very easily convertible and you've won the hate lottery in my books, well done!
I cannot believe that I thought you were the one for me.
