At eight o'clock in the morning, when other people were already busy with their work, Arga was still asleep in his bed without responding to the ringing alarm that had been screaming beside his head. The man was really slow when it came to waking up, even he was often subject to nagging from people for his negligence in managing time. Luckily, as long as he lived in this palace, nothing could disturb his deep sleep, he was even free to wake up at any time, because he was a royal guest, so it was only natural that the host should not disturb his sleeping guest. That is a big advantage for Arga Gelisto. Even though on his first day, he was awakened by a female servant with a trumpet, fortunately, that damn servant didn't come to his room anymore, maybe he was surprised to see Arga sleeping without wearing anything. "It's morning again, huh?" Finally, the horned prince opened his eyes. Looking at her messy reflection in the mirror, then, she immediately rushed to the bathroom. An Arga, in his whole life never wasting time cleaning his body in the bathroom, he always spends at least two minutes just taking a shower in the morning. That's why, even though he wakes up slowly, when it comes to taking a shower, he is the superior. It only took ten minutes for Arga to tidy up like wearing clothes and pants or anything else, because for him, a man must respect his time. And yeah, now he has left his private room and walked to Laila's room to return the princess pencil that fell on her head yesterday afternoon. Two knocks on the door, the occupant of the room, Putri Laila, immediately opened the door for Arga who was standing proudly in front of his room. Now, Arga is wearing a shiny white shirt with pure white pants, he is not wearing his fur coat for today, because he thinks, is bored to wear it all the time. Seeing Arga's neat appearance, Laila, the red haired girl was surprised. From his expression, Princess Laila looked enchanted by Arga's good looks. "Excuse me, but what business are you knocking on my door, sir?" asked Laila in such a soft voice. Arga cleared his throat before answering. "I just want to give this back to you." Without further ado, Arga quickly gave the beautiful pencil to Laila. Laila was surprised again. "Geez, this is my pencil, where did you find it? I am very grateful that you returned my beloved pencil that fell yesterday due to my careless writing near the window." Laila accepted her pencil happily, she seemed very happy because her favorite thing came back home. "This pencil happened to fall on my head yesterday afternoon while I was relaxing on the balcony, because there is the name 'Laila' on the body of that thing, so I think this is your pencil, so I want to return this pencil to you immediately." Hearing Arga's words made Laila nod in understanding. Then, the girl invited Arga to have breakfast in the palace dining room, because she was forced, what could I do? Arriving at the grand and spacious dining room, Arga was ordered to sit on the dining chair by Laila, while the girl took some of the food available in the kitchen, even though the waiters advised Laila not to take her own food, because it was their job, but it looks like a girl. it doesn't want to bother other people. "Now, as my thanks, I hope you eat all this food to your heart's content, sir." said Laila after she put several plates of food on the long dining table. Arga could only swallow, could not stand the smell of food that tempted him. "Though you don't have to do this, but fine, I'll spend it for you, Princess Laila." Arga also took the side dishes available at the table and chewed it deliciously, while Laila smiled happily looking at him from the chairs opposite each other. "You don't have breakfast either, Princess?" Arga asked Laila, wondering why the girl didn't come to eat with him. "Oh, I had breakfast, really." Laila answered with a pretty smile. "By the way, what's your name, sir? This is the first time I've seen you, are you Father's guest?" Hearing that question, Arga stopped eating and looked awkwardly into Laila's eyes. "My name is Arga Gelisto, yes, I am your father's guest." Laila's palm reflexively closed her mouth, so shocked to hear Arga's answer, her eyes widened. "So, Arga Gelisto that many people are talking about is you, huh?" Arga himself was surprised to hear himself being talked about by many people. "Eh? Really? What are they talking about me?" "Something like you're a jerk, p*****t, mean and stuff, is that all true?" Arga suddenly laughed, making Laila confused. "What nonsense, hahaha!" "I asked, are you really like that? I mean, I don't really believe in gossip, that's why, I ask you, are you the one, Mr. Arga?" "You think, after meeting with me, am I the same as what many people talk about?" Because Arga asked that, Laila immediately smiled. "Of course not." "Why are you sure I'm not what people talk about?" Laila sighed, then she got up from her chair and approached Arga and whispered something into the horned man's ear. "Because ... your scent." Arga is amused to hear that. "My scent? What's with my scent?" Laila returned to her chair and responded to Arga's question with serious eyes. "I smell a different scent than most people say about you. I told you, I don't like gossip, I prefer meeting people in person. Because I think sometimes everyone exaggerates the facts." After seeing Princess Laila's figure up close, Arga thought that the girl was tricking him with her friendly nature, just like Emilia did to her. "Do you always wear a mask, Princess Laila?" Suddenly, Arga asked Laila a sharp question. The red haired girl gasped to hear that. "Mask? What do you mean?" "It's kind of like you hiding your true self from a lot of people, and you covered it with a warm kindness." "Do you think I do, Mr. Arga?" Laila smiled faintly. "Or, have you met my sister, Princess Emilia?" This is bad, why does Princess Laila know that Arga is asking that question, because she is traumatized by Emilia's character. Arga did not respond and Laila continued her words. "You know, from a long time ago, I didn't like the character of my sister, Princess Emilia, because she always hid her real self from everyone. And what do you know, even my brother is actually tormented by his own behavior. So when you mention the word mask. , I thought of my brother. "I've persuaded my brother several times to show himself to others, but he still doesn't hear me. I am sad to see my brother constantly suffering because of his own attitude. I hope, really hope, that a man will accept him the way he is. "But you don't need to worry, Mr. Arga, in my entire life, I never hide anything from everyone. I act like this because my personality is like this." Arga was amazed to hear Laila explain Emilia's character in detail, he also thought that the girl was very attentive to her siblings, no, maybe everyone. "Ehem!" Arga cleared his throat. "Thank you for the food, Princess Laila. I'm glad you gave me such a detailed explanation of your brother's character, but did you know, your caring nature could be a dangerous thing for this kingdom." Laila gasped. "Eh?" Arga began to explain. "Before I met you, I had met Princess Charlotte, Princess Victoria, then Princess Emilia. They all have vices that I really hate, but do you know, their vices can also be used in this kingdom. Have you heard? if a lot of wars occur because of how kind a host is to his guest so that he doesn't hesitate to tell the guests the secrets of his kingdom. "And what happened after that? It was the war. The reason was that the visitor was none other than a warrior of his royal enemy who disguised himself into the palace. And what a coincidence, you also have that good character, Princess Laila." Laila paused, then with a halting tone, she replied, "S-So, what Mr. Arga means is, you're advising me not to be too kind to royal guests, is that right?" Arga nodded. "Then, do I also have to be cruel like the other siblings to a guest?" Arga smirks hearing that. "Although I hate to say it, but you have to. Sorry, Princess Laila, but, have you ever lost anything big after entertaining guests?" Laila tried to remember and her eyes widened. "Ah, I remember. Two months ago, I lost all my jewelry after I hosted a female guest." Laila thought for a moment and said "Could it be that the person who stole my jewelry was that guest?" "Right! Although there is no evidence yet, but the fact is clear that he was the culprit. Princess Laila, I want you to also keep a distance from guests like me, it could be that the person you are talking to is a criminal right now, right?" Arga smiled sarcastically to himself. "But you don't smell like a criminal, Mr. Arga," said Laila confidently. "But, do you know," The atmosphere of the dining room turned cold, making Arga tilt his head to realize there was something strange here. And suddenly, Arga's head was dizzy, it felt like an object had landed on his skull. Arga even fell from his chair because his neck felt like he was being choked. What else is this torture? "I've put poison in your food." said Laila with a smile looking at Arga who was convulsing on the floor. "Don't worry, I'm not wearing a mask, really. I just want to be on guard from a guest, like you told me, Mr. Arga." BRUG! Until finally, Arga collapsed on the floor with foam in his mouth and bulging eyes in pain. "The poison has spread throughout your body, you will feel in pain until I give you a sedative, Mr. Arga." Then, Princess Laila got up from her chair, walked out of the dining room gracefully. "Servant, please take the man with the horns to my laboratory." TO BE CONTINUED ...
