I woke in a tangle of limbs and warmth, the scent of Asher—filling my lungs. His arm was heavy across my waist, fingers splayed protectively over my bare stomach. The dorm was still dark, the first gray wash of dawn just starting to seep around the curtains. For a moment, I let myself stay there, eyes closed, listening to the steady thump of his heart against my back. Last night felt both impossibly real and like some fevered dream.
