Slaine and Jimmy sat on the railings of the Manhattan bridge. Slaine had his skateboard in his arms. Jimmy was looking for a topic to start a conversation since it was beginning to get awkward.
"Hey, Slaine. For how long have you been skating?" He asked. Slaine looked at him.
"I guess for seven years now..."
"Woah! You must be really good at it by now! I wish I can skate too—I'm horrible at it."
"I'm not that exceptional—"
"Can you do a kickflip?!"
"I guess I can"
"Really? Show me!"
"I'm not in the mood. I just don't like what happened today"
"Then, let's pretend it didn't happen!"
"Life doesn't work that way."
"Now, it does"
Slaine didn't say anything for a while and it turned awkward again.
"By the way," Jimmy said, "I am curious."
"About what?"
"About why you don't skate—" They had a sudden tingling in their ears. It was the headset. They pressed their hands on their ears.
"We have a problem!" Axel shouted from the other end.
"Lemme guess. You caused it?" Slaine asked.
"Kinda...I'm running currently."
"Where are you?"
"Dumbo! I met two DROIDS"
"Brooklyn?"
"Let's go!" Jimmy shouted. He grabbed Slaine's hand and began running towards the Brooklyn bridge. When they reached Dumbo, they beheld two girls standing alongside each other. One donned shorts while the other wore a mini skirt. Asselyum stood beside them with Axel—Who was dumb enough to mistake ANDROIDS with X-DROIDS.
"MiK and Norman, I got a Mayday," Asselyum said.
(Mayday calls are distress calls sent when you're asking for help in an emergency situation. It can be located from far off places)
MiK and Norman were much taller than Slaine and Asselyum, about eight feet or so. They seemed to have nice fighting built and strong musculature. "I did receive the call" The one attired in shorts said. She wore a pendant wrapped around her upper right arm which read 'MiK- CodeX333' "It's weird in here. There are so many humans—I've never seen so many humans in my entire time slot—And there's a sun!" The other one, wearing a skirt, exclaimed. She also had a pendant wrapped around her upper left arm which read 'Norman- CodeX555'
"What's a time slot?" Slaine asked Asselyum.
"It's similar to what you humans call 'lifetime'" She replied.
"A human!" Norman gasped.
"Slaine meet them—That is MiK CodeX333, the 1 Mega Hyperli chip series ANDRIOD, and it's partner, Norman CodeX555, the 2+1 Mega Hyperli chip series ANDRIOD"
"What the hell is a Hyperliteslon—or something?" Slaine asked as that was the only thing he was interested in at that moment. "It's a chromium chip, a technology that is inbuilt within us and works as a C.P.U amplifier, which makes us smarter and more capable. The lesser digits you have in the chip, the stronger you are" MiK replied.
"DROIDs, this is my controller, Slaine Benjamin—He's a gamer, or so he claims to be," Asselyum said "Thank you for that unnecessary part in my introduction," Slaine said, maliciously.
"Aww! Your controller is so small and cute!" Norman stated.
"Yeah I mean, I'm not two metres tall" Slaine looked at those two giants.
"But this is our smallest size! We can't be smaller than this" Norman said.
"I'm petrified!" Axel shivered.
"Calm your a*s down—You don't even know the meaning of that word yet, Jesus saves us all," Slaine rolled his eyes.
Jimmy rubbed his chin with his middle finger and said: "That chick in shorts is smoking hot—Damn!" Slaine pressed his temples "I wish someday my horoscope says just b****y kill anyone today!"
"Is he legally blind?" MiK asked.
"No, he's just a human who is f*****g maggoted,"
"Humans are cute, brother!" Norman said.
"Wait—Brother?" Slaine asked.
"Yeah? That's my big brother"
"Oh! It's a trap." Slaine turned towards Jimmy with a smirk.
"I've been played."
"Let's get serious here," MiK said as he gazed into his bag pack. "The runblasters, you asked for these right?" He threw a small cube at Asselyum which reshaped into a g*n while it was in the air and reached Asseyum's hands. It was about 6 feet tall and had a blue mark which red "ANTI- X-DROID-TECH. VERSION 12.5." With a seal of 'Made in Mechapolis'
"It's the latest model" Asselyum looked at the huge thing.
"I've got you the most high-grade of all. Not even Lucifer has it. Valorie gave it to me" MiK said. "Has he communicated with you?" Asselyum asked.
"He has. He'll be here in another month. He is currently in Texas retaliating the time machine." MiK said. Asselyum just looked at the runblaster.
"What are you thinking?" Norman asked.
"Nothing. Let's just hope we are able to kill those five before they kill us again,"
"Again?" Slaine asked and she passed the runblaster to Slaine. It was surprisingly light for how big it was. As he touched it, he could feel the strength of that machine.
"This is a runblaster. The only g*n that can kill an X-DROID"
"Wow! This looks so cool" Jimmy looked at the runblaster like a toddler looks at candies. His eyes grew round and shimmered with curiosity. Slaine knew he needed to keep this weapon away from that manchild.
"This is the best invention of the 25th century. You can actually fold them into a small cube and keep it inside your pocket and it can become as long as 10 kilometres" MiK said.
"Hey, you want one runblaster too? Since you think it's 'awesome'? I can get you some" Norman took out another small cube from her pocket.
"What? I can?" Jimmy shrieked with excitement.
"Yep. I've got many of them" Norman smiled.
"I didn't know robots could smile too," Jimmy said, "Our Asselyum is legit but never smiles"
"That's cause Asselyum doesn't have an 'Emotion Chip'" MiK said.
"Emotion Chip?"
"All the four Codes have a device called Emotion chip. It only focuses on their Android Emotional Intelligence (AEQ). Lucifer has the highest AEQ" Norman said.
"Makes sense," Axel said. Slaine looked at Asselyum and then back at the blue cube.
"Hey! How do we use this again?" Slaine asked.
"Just throw it up, the higher you throw it—the larger it'll become," MiK guided him.
Slaine threw it above his head and the cube opened up and reformed into a huge g*n. Slaine held it in his hand. "It's made of Ilvulium, the lightest and most stretchable semi-metal. It is rust-resistant and non-inflammable" Norman said.
"Ilvulium?"
"Atomic number 268, mass-"
"Wow wow wow! Hello? 268?" Slaine said.
"Yes," MiK said.
"How do we use this?" He asked while looking at the runblaster which seemed a little complicated to use.
"See that needle hanging just beside the trigger?" Norman asked.
"This one?" Slaine stretched the needle away from the g*n. It was connected with a stretchable black wire.
"Yeah. It's a kinetic supplier pointer. Insert it into your wrist like an IV drop"
Slaine drew the needle near his skin while the other end of the needle was still connected to the wire. He rammed the needle into his flesh and the runblaster glowed red.
"IDENTIFYING," The computer inside the runblaster said.
"TYPE 23— HUMAN—ACTIVATING—SELECT PROTOCOL," A hologram appeared in front of Slaine and he looked at Asselyum.
"It's a recognition software. The runblasters is driven by the body heat—If it's around 99°F, it identifies you as a human" Asselyum explained.
"Why did it just say twenty-three?" Slaine asked.
"It's your chromosome ploidy. Twenty-three pairs of chromosomes—Meaning you're human"
"And the protocol?" Slaine asked.
"It is asking the mode- X DROIDS can only be killed by radiations. So, it's asking you the kind of radiation you want it to be—Cosmic or UV or Lestial—There are many of them"
"Lestial? That's the first time of heard of that" Axel said.
"Yes, they are the strongest rays in the 25th century. They have enough energy to break an intergalactic star into two halves"

"We can use any of them?" Slaine asked "No, are you mad? It's selective. We use them differently in different combinations and concentrations for different X-DROID types,"
"... Sounds like a pain in the a*s" Slaine looked at the runblaster "So, how will I know what to choose?"
"Depends on the size and type of X-DROID. If its an A1 Omega, B1 Beta or C1 alpha X-DROID. For omega, we use UV rays, for Beta, we use Cosmic rays, for alpha we use Lestial waves. Use this wisely, runblasters have killed their owners before." Asselyum pressed a small button on the runblaster. It gave out a pale green light.
"This is UV. Don't bring in contact with a human—It can very much cause mutations"
"So, the omega types are killed by UV?" Slaine asked.
"No, it just slows down their system. You just have to hit them at their core organ to kill them. We can't use any other rays for dealing with them since those would affect us too"
"Why is everything so complicated?" Slaine asked.
"Humans made it complicated to make it interesting," Asselyum said.
"Now, now Asselyum, let's not develop hatred towards our creators" Norman smiled.
Asselyum took a deep breath.
"Asselyum?" Slaine looked at her.
"You don't even know," She said.
