James woke up and went down to the living room. He caught the glance of kodili who wore a skimpy skirt and a shiny red lipstick. Her lips were so reddish like that of a vampire who had just sucked blood. She was sitting on a couch when she saw James, she stood up.
‘good morning prince’’, kodili said, biting her lower lips and eyeing him like a w***e.
‘hey, am not a prince but don’t worry, I will generously remind you of my name. I’mJames Sindhia. James said and after a brief silence, he added; ‘now tell me, yesterday, you lied to your parents that you have been having headaches, why?’, James asked with all seriousness.
‘nothing’, she lied
‘both of us know that you are perfectly fine. You’ve been intruding into my privacy on several occasions just to hold a conversation with me so it will be better if you tell me the gospel truth’
‘ok, you want to know the truth?’’, kodili asked getting irritated

‘I want to be around you before you go back to India. Remember I heard you when you said you will be leaving the country soon for yours. So I have decided to keep staying back at home to be with you’
‘For what? Why on earth do you want to be with me?’ a girl of your age! Kyu?’ James asked curiously
‘Because…because I love you’ kodili gasped. She did not know she had released a bombshell. If she had thought that James would take it lightly then she was wrong. James did not know the kind of shock that froze him. He stood there like a statue, numb and still. Kodili quietly walked up to him, hoping to grip his wrist and perhaps manipulate him but he pushed her away in anger and ran upstairs.
