I'm married

Chapter 3

Laura was staring straight at Louis eyes, observing his every reaction to what she has just said.

But rather than expected he became even more unapproachable,his eyes darken harbouring a frosty gaze, devoid of any emotional fluctuation.

He turned to return back to the living room but Laura quickly stepped on his way.

"Get the f*ck out of my way",he yelled.

His voice was deep and commanding but also pleasant to the ears.

Laura gave him a surprised look"wait a minute,so you don't recognize me?",she asked.

"Am I supposed to?",he replied with a bit of irritation ringing in his voice.

Upon entering the Sinclair's family home he noticed an unusual stare from a particular girl but it was far different from the annoying and nauseating look from others,that was why he gave a few glance.

The girl was beautiful with her clear skin and the mole at the corner of her eyes was cute,she looked at him with those bright eyes but not in a flirtatious was so he returned the glances.

And when she noticed him looking at her she didn't cut the stare instead she stared right back at him.

He had earlier thought she was different from the other girls who throw themselves at him, seems to be that she is even bolder."How dare her call me honey?",he thought.

At this moment he was beginning to lose his patience"miss I'm married so get yourself out of my way if you have any self-respect".

Laura was dumbstruck.

He clearly doesn't recognize her yet he said he was married.

"was there are miss up somewhere?",she wondered.

"May i ask who your wife is?",she asked.

"It has nothing to do with you",he said with a cold voice.

Laura brought out the photocopy of the marriage certificate and brought it in front of him "I suppose this is you right?"

Louis looked at the document before him and noticed her name "Laura Sinclair"

"miss Sinclair you should be more professional when forging something as important as this,and original shouldn't be too expensive, would it?"

with that he didn't return to the living room,he strode of to where his car was parked.

"Laura ran after him trying to explain to him but she was blocked by two hefty black-suited bodyguards.

Laura stood her ground calling out to him as he walked away"this document is genuine,if you don't believe me you can go verify yourself with the civil affairs bureau"

Louis didn't stop,he got in his car and rode away.

His personal assistant remained and went back to the living room where he was bombarded with questions by Lisa.

Lisa had seen Laura clinging to Louis Horton through the window but she couldn't hear what they were saying.

seeing Louis leaving and Laura riding off behind him in her electric scooter she couldn't help but ask

"I saw Mr Horton leaving,did someone offend him",she asked.

'His boss didn't reprimand the girl which means he didn't take it as a big deal',he thought as miss Lisa questioned.

The personal assistant gave a light smile and then replied "Mr Horton had some important matters to attend to so he had to leave,can you inform the elders of the household?"

"okay",she said seeing him out.

After the wedding date has been selected and lunch has been eaten the rest of the Horton family took their leave.

As soon as Tyler got back inside after seeing them off he spoke"why did Louis Horton leave?,did we do something to offend him?"he asked worriedly.

Flashing back to how drake looked distracted as if he was looking for Laura and back to when Laura was probably pestering Mr Horton her anger eluded.

Her eyes lit as an idea pop-up in her head "Dad i saw Laura pestering Mr Horton earlier and he seemed really angry when he left,he left a message....."

"message? what message?"Tyler asked as his worry increased.

"he said you should discipline your daughter,with Laura behaving like this will the Horton family think the Sinclair family didn't train their girls well? I wouldn't want anything to jeopardize my wedding"

Tyler's face turned red with anger.

Lisa smiled with the corner of her mouth as her plan seems to have worked.

Laura was riding her scooter and just as she left the mansion she lost sight of Louis Horton.

As she was second-guessing her decision her phone rang.

it was Ramsey her subordinate,upon answering the phone his voice bursed through the speakers"boss alot of people have been looking into who Dr south is"

Laura raised an eyebrow"and they haven't found anything or have they?",she asked.

"of course not after all no one would guess that Dr south who solved the issue of hydrogen fuel is a young and innocent looking girl who just graduated from college..."

"anything else",she said cutting him off.

"oh yes,I got some information about lewis Horton"

"spill",she replied bossly

"He is the second son of Horton family's older master Mr Desmond Horton,it is rumoured that he has a violent and ruthless personality hence he was sent abroad to study when he was young."Ramsey said and then went quiet a second before he continued.

"With no doubt everyone thought that his elder brother which is drake's dad would be the one to take over the property but surprisingly Louis came back to the country few weeks ago using some ruthless method to force his father to retire and take over the Horton group

less i forget, didn't you find a reliable person for a fake marriage? how come he bailed out on you on the last minute? if your marital status isn't stable it will affect the company's IPO and you know it...."

"I'm having a headache i will talk to you later"she hanged up immediately with a frown.

"The only reason she agreed to her mother's ridiculous idea of her getting married was because it would also be beneficial to her.

As the legal representative of the company being married would be favorable for the IPO.

But now she is married to a stranger and didn't know what plot she might be involved in.

Louis isn't just anybody so the earlier she got a divorce the better it would be to avoid unnecessary dispute and getting cut-up in whatever plot this is",she thought.

After hanging up she rubbed her temple"things have gotten a bit complicated",she said aloud.

She started her Scooter and rode away leaving the bustling city center,she arrived at the city village at the outskirts.

When she moved out of the Sinclair resident in junior high school she could only afford an old house in the suburbs and she has since grown accustomed to the place and never moved out.

As she was about to reach her house after taking a turn an old lady in her 80s or 90 suddenly sprang out from the side of the road.

Laura slammed on the brake and narrowly avoided a collision.

she looked at the old woman,she had earlier thought the woman intentionally wanted to provoke and accident,but looking at her closely....

Even though she is thin and short,she is well dressed and seems to be from a wealthy family.she had a tag around her neck with a contact and a note "please dail this number if you find her,a reward will be given".

it has to be Alzheimer disease!

"someone is missing a family member"she said.

she brought out her phone and began to dail the number on the tag.

The old woman who was staring at Laura blankly before suddenly became active,she grabbed Laura's hand "granddaughter-in-law, you are my granddaughter-in-law!",the old lady said with so much joy as tears formed in her eyes.

Laura gave a faint smile

she has been single all her life and now she suddenly has another husband.

"Is the civil affairs bureau now doing giveaway on husbands",she thought.

She found it amusing and then casually asked"granny who is your grandson?".

The old lady racked her brain what was her grand son's name again...uhm....yes that's right...... Louis Horton!!
