My feet wander the late night streets of my mind With nobody else but the street lights Cobblestone echoing the voice of my feet Wandering closer to that i cannot see As society dims, i find myself in the dark Only guided by a candle within bark I wonder why the tree does not catch fire Maybe i can learn and grow inspired I sit and try to seek warmth from the glow But my heart starts to feel cold as snow The wind blows and the leaves fall to my feet I'm not so alone as i hear the birds start to tweet What does it mean to be alone? Perhaps it's how we define it on our own I draw my breath and extend my hand And upon my body the wilderness lands They all see that I'm just existing too "I mean no harm to you" The fire feels warm as i sit in its hearth Finding a home in my
