Chocnut

I am currently getting ready for Mamo's birthday party. Mamo was my former manager and she's like my second Mom in the industry. She was the one who boosted my career. I won't be successful without her. She sends me an email and threatening me that if I'm not going to attend her party again she will hunt me down and kill me and she has the capacity to do that. Imagining her mad face makes me shiver down my spine. So, I had no choice but to attend the party even though I'm exhausted because I have so many errands today. Maybe I just need to show proof that I attended her party and I'll leave immediately.

I put the finishing touches on my makeup and I sighed I look different today. Ngayon lang ako ulit nag ayos ng ganito ka bongga. I am wearing a white see-through crystal gown that perfectly shows my curves that match my Swarovski crystal rhinestone white lace mask. Since Mamo's theme for her birthday is a masquerade ball. It's a good thing because people won't immediately recognize me. Even though I already leave the limelight I still receive some modeling offers and shows. I don't wanna be rude so I wanted to be lowkey during the party.

I am currently at the party and I am holding tightly my Swarovski clutch. Sobrang daming tao at camera. Syempre ang bongga din ng pagkakaayos sa venue and suddenly people started to stare at me. Did I overkill my look tonight? But I wore this gown years ago. Oh my did they recognize me? I saw a woman was about to approach me and I am frozen in my stance and my breath started to shorten lalo na sa harapan ko siya.

"You look so gorgeous hija!" she genuinely said. But I started to get suffocated because I am having a panic attack. Does personal space does not exist in her vocabulary! She was about to touch my right arm pero bigla siya na pa tigil. Bigla siya napatitig sa likuran ko at nag simula mag ingay lalo yung mga tao. Bilang chismosa na pa lingon ako and it was a wrong move because I had a mini heart attack because it was none other Eathan Lurd Sorenser! My former love team and lover. Fudge! I need to immediately escape. So, I decided na pumunta na lang muna ng comfort room but I suddenly bumped into a stranger.

"Sorry!" I apologized immediately and he was about to say something pero tumakno na agad ako palayo. Hinihingil ako makarating sa may pasilyo ng CR and high heels is killing my feet. Bakit ko ba kasi naisipan suotin to tsk. I decided to remove my heels kasi ang sakit na talaga ng paa. Pero bigla ako may nakitang sapatos sa tapat ko at agad ako na pa tayo habang nakasandal yung isang kamay sa wall at yung is a naman hawak heels ko.

"Hello, Miss are you ok? he asked and he looks familiar. He's a moreno and his body is a bit bulky and he is also holding a camera. A vivid image of a malnourished-looking guy suddenly appeared in my memory.

"Chocnut!!!" I screamed. It's a good thing everyone is busy at the party. He looks so confused. So I decided to remove my mask. " It's me Avieryl!" He was stunned for a few seconds and after that, he immediately hugged me. So I just patted him on his back.

"Fudge Ate Avieryl! Where have you been? Alam mo ba ma baliw baliw kami sa pag hahanap sayo nun! Hindi ka man lang nag paramdam!" Natatawa kong tinulak siya palayo mula sa akin.

"I got busy with my study and business. How about you? You look totally different! Should I stop calling you Chocnut? Yes, I think Marco is more appropriate you look dashing tonight!" He suddenly blushed oh I think he is still the old Chocnut. A shy little boy.

" Ate Avieryl naman. Chocnut will still do. Anong nangyare sa paa mo?"

" Oh di an kasi ako sanay tinanggal ko lang saglit. Teka ibabalik ko na nga." Payuko na sana ako pero pinigilan niya ako.

" Let me do it Ate Avieryl and put back your mask before someone will recognize you. Hanggang ngayon madami pa din nag hahanap sayo.'" So I give my heels to him and I put back my mask. While he was busy fixing my heels I was looking at him and I smiled sadly, sayang hindi ko siya nakita lumaki. Chocnut was the adopted son of Mamo so basically he was like a baby brother to me.

I smiled widely at him after he finished fixing my heels " You're not a baby anymore."

He smiled shyly " It looks like isip bata ka pa din Ate. " Natatawa niyang sabi.

My smile immediately vanished and I pouted at him " You're so rude!"Teka nga bakit ka may bitbit na camera?"

" Oh kami may hawak ng event ni Mamo and I was collecting video greetings from the guest nag CR lang ako."

" Wow mayaman ka na pa la send cash!Joke! Teka videohan mo din ako para may proof na nag punta ako."

" Hindi pwede! Mamo will kill me pag na laman niya pinakawalan kita."

" Dali na ako yung papatayin niya eh. Anak ka nun tsaka bunso ka naman eh. Gusto mo basagin ko na lang camera mo." Nambabanta kong sabi sa kanya. Kasi alam niyang babasagin ko talaga camera.

"Fine! Fix yourself !" Nag sususngit niyang sabi. Natatawa na lang ako sa reaction naka simangot siya at walang magawa. Wala eh ate ako bawal siyang pumalag " Go na ate."

"Hi, Mamo! It's your panganay ang pinaka pa bebe at maganda mong anak. Happy Birthday! Thank you for loving and supporting me! Enjoy your life and I'll be always be praying for your health and peace of mind. Wag ka na umiyak! I already ordered your new Hermès Birkin bag! Love you!" I said. Buti na lang di ako na choke sa speech ko dahil pinipigilan kong umiyak. I miss Mamo.

" You're spoiling Mamo ang dami niya na bag." Napapailing na sabi.

" She deserves it." natatawa kong sagot. A woman suddenly approached us at masama niya ako tinignan.

" Sir. Marco hinahanap ka na ni Madame." she politely said pero pagkaharap sa akin ang sama ng tingin. Nang iirap pa ang gaga.

" Sabay na tayo pumasok." Chocnut stated while looking at me. Kaya mas lalo sumama yung tingin nung babae.

" I need to go home na. I need to run errands tomorrow. I'll just get your number and I'll call you when I have free time." I said seductively just to annoy this girl.

" Are you sure hindi ka na mag papakita kay Mamo? She'll go beserk pag di ka nag pakita." He said worriedly.

" I'll handle it, baby." I said at mas lalo na bwisit yung babae.

" Sir. Marco hinahanap ka na ni Madame." naiirita niyang sabi.

" Can't you see we're having a conversation" Chocnut snapped at her and she suddenly went paled. Poor girl, she's not aware I'm just a sister to Chocnut.

" Baby chill, give me your phone I'll dial my number so you could also save my number." He sighed at kinuha niya sa loob ng coat niya tsaka inabot sa akin yung phone niya. I immediately dialed my number when I heard my phone ringing I ended it immediately tsaka inabot sa kanya. Nilapitan ko si Chocnut and I hugged him then kissed him at his cheeks and I made sure it will leave a mark " Don't be rude to her." I murmured. Pagkatingin ko doon sa babae mukha na siyang pa iyak nung mag tama and mata namin agad siyang umiwas.

"Zàijiàn! Send my regards to Mamo and also send your address to me para ma padala ko bag niya sa inyo." I said as I walked away from them.

I was waiting for the driver to pick me up at the hotel but I got bored so I decided to walk around their garden malapit kasi sa exit yung garden nung hote I look into the sky, the moon, and the stars shine brightly. I suddenly heard a familiar voice.

" Mom you should have attended Mamo's birthday party it was a blast. You know what Marco came back from the comfort room with a kiss mark on his cheeks Mamo went beserk. Ayaw niya aaminin kung sino may gawa nun." Eathan said while laughing.

As I observe him I let myself shiver from the wind with his smile he has taken again my heart away from me.
