Kane woke up and went to a bath before changing into jeans and a simple black tank top.
She had five missed calls from Macy, five missed calls from Macy with Veda shouting in the background, and twenty texts from Cliff, Macy and Veda.
Kane dialled Macy’s number and listened to the ring.
“Kane?”
“Hey, Mace how was the rest of the party?”
“Hang on, putting you on speaker. Guys, it's Kane.”
“Where the hell did you go to? Tell me you didn’t leave with Moth.” Kane frowned at Veda’s voice; it reminded her of something she had seen while slightly drunk.
“Veda, you and Cliff were making out when I left, so don’t even start.”
She was met with silence.
“Kane, are you coming over?”
“Yes, Macy, oh s**t, wait, I have to go open the track first.”
“We’ll meet you there.”
