Pink And Golden

The music inside was a low thumping sound from coming from the closed glass door. A gust of wind swept past us raising goosebumps on my arms. But weather wasn't cold as it was early August so, I guess that was for a whole different reason. His lips was so soft against mine. Like butter when you sink your lips in it. Sweet, sweet butter. But he wasn't moving. He was not kissing me back. I pulled back slightly to look at his face. But a switch flipped inside him as he cupped my face with gentle hands and connected our lips again, desperately, as if he was afraid to let go. This time his lips molded with mine in sync and my mind exploded with electrical sensations. I never knew kissing someone could be so.....Magical. I was almost regretting not doing this sooner. I would blame alcohol but, it never made me feel this good ever before. I would blame inexperience but, when Bree told me about her first kiss, she had said it wasn't as magical as the movies always make it out to be. So maybe, it was him. Maybe, it was because he was a nice guy who never made me uncomfortable like all the boys around me did. He never flirted with me but he always looked out for me and I knew it. And I know it, that he wouldn't try to force himself into my pants even when I was the one asking him to kiss me. So, feeling a little more brave, I left my chair barely keeping our mouths connected and straddled him. It was a blessing that his chair was for atleast three people otherwise, I would have been stuck. In this position, I was slightly taller than him. I threaded my hands in his soft golden-brown hair and tugged back for convenience. He made a sound in the back throat and I instantly released him. "Sorry." I panted. "No," he shook his head, equally breathless, and his lips swollen. f**k. "It felt good." He guided my hands back to his hair and this time more confidently, I pulled his hair backwards and kissed him hungrily. I was getting more and more comfortable and familiar with his mouth and our kisses were getting more feverish and hurried. Wild. His hands slowly crept down my back and lingered on my hips— "Wait a second babe. Let me—" Jayden came bursting through the doors with a girl, who appeared to be trying to swallow up his face when his eyes fell on us. "Oh. Hey guys, didn't see you there." He said with a smirk. Jesus. He saw us. He f*****g saw us. "Kylie, babe. Let's leave them here. We'll go somewhere else." He grabbed her by the elbow and pulled with him, sending a wink my way. "My name's Cora." The girl grumbled but obeyed and followed him in. The door fell shut behind them with a click. I slowly looked at Chase who was already looking at me. "He saw us." I said blinking at him. "Do you want go back in? Do you....do you want to stop?" His eyes were clearly giving away that he did not want to stop. And fortunate for him, so did I. "No. Just, let's go somewhere more private?" I suggested, standing up giving him my hand questioningly. He took my offer and led us back inside where the party was still in full swing. He was leading me through the crowd of jumping and hooting people where occasionally one or two guys stopped him for a shake and girls tried to get his attention by pushing their chests out. Not tonight bitches. Tonight....he is with me. Halfway through the stairs Mia stopped us. "Hey, guys! Did you see Bree? Or Ashton? Those traitors left me alone at the beer pong table with Matt. And that bastard has disappeared, too!" She said. A whole bottle of beer dangling from her fingers. I almost snatched the bottle from her for myself, but I remembered that if I do, I will be utterly drunk and not be able to properly do, whatever was going to happen between Chase and I. "Uh—I....we—" He stuttered, scratching his head. "We didn't. No, we didn't saw them." It was then, when Mia noticed our adjoined hands. "Were you both going somewhere?" She looked at me. "Wait a minute...—" but before she could say anything else a brunette girl shouted her name and dragged her away for another round of beer pong. Thank goodness. I watched as Chase heaved a relieved sigh and continued upstairs. We found a room at the end of the hallway and went inside. The room was so simple and uncharacterized, it might have been a guest room. We both had wanted to get alone, but as we were standing in the middle of the room, staring at the beige walls, we didn't know how to continue what we both left at the porch. I had wanted more privacy to.... make out? I know I didn't want s*x. s*x was an uncharted territory for me, which I didn't want to explore, yet. Maybe, when I become a middle-aged single woman, watching all her friends and colleagues having a successful romantic married life and loneliness hits me on another level. But not now, when I'm still trying to get accommodated with male touch. "Should I get you something?" He asked peering at me nervously. Our fingers were connected at the tips. I walked to the bed and sat down. "Yes. Yes, you should. Get me a cone of kisses with a scoop of Chase on the top, please." I smiled. He chuckled and closed the distance between us in two strides. "Consider it done." He murmured and sealed our lips again. We were pulling and tugging at each other and trying to get closer. Making out in bed felt far more intense and hot than on the porch. He slid an arm beneath my waist and lifted us both to the middle of the bed with a single arm supporting our weight. And that show of power was hot. He kissed along the crook of neck and jaw while I gripped his shirt tightly until my knuckles went white. His palms roamed over my clothed stomach and he slowly dipped his fingers inside my shirt, grazing my skin. I panicked. My hands shot to his, halting movement as he pulled back and looked into my eyes. He must have seen the hesitation on my face so, he said, "Okay, I won't. Okay?" I nodded. He settled with holding my waist and jaw and kissed me softly, then fiercely. The breath was again knocked out of me and I was floating in sensations. I don't know how many minutes or hours we laid there trying to feel every part of each other, sometimes me on top of him, sometimes under him. The feeling was all too new for me. And exhilarating. So, I greedily swallowed every drop of it until I was full of it. I don't remember when but I remember him pulling me to his chest, and myself settling my cheeks in the crook of his neck. My last thoughts when I was on the brink of sleep was how he was the designated driver for tonight but was about to sleep here and how Bree and Ashton has disappeared together. On the other hand, I was going to fall asleep in the arms of a boy. Which I always consider would be nightmare. But he was nothing like that. Chase was something out of a dream. All soft and fluffy, pink and golden. The last thing I heard before falling asleep was his deep breath against my cheeks and then he said, "Sleep, beautiful."
