Bree, Matt and I sat on one side of the table and Chase and Mia were on the other side. Ashton, has went to order our ice-creams five minutes ago, and has vanished, since.
Apparently, the girl on the counter was, infact, waiting for him.
"Ten minutes are already over. Tell your friend to hurry the f**k up before I freeze his d**k and make his slut suck on it." Mia threatened slamming the table and my respect for her reached a new hight. I mean, her idea was not that bad, was it?
"Hey, you fucker!" Matt hollered over everyone, terrorising surrounding people in the process. "Option one; get our f*****g ice-creams, right now. Or option two; get your frozen d**k sucked by the chick who's distracting you from option one!" The whole ice-cream parlor erupted in laughter, including us.
The girl in question turned red as a tomato and Ashton soon came over, holding a tray and grumbling and scowling. "Was that even necessary?" He scoffed.
"Thank the f**k you got the warning. I was all up for option two." Mia chimed picking up her butterscotch.
"No, thank me." Matt added, too, reaching for his ice-cream cup and all of us followed suit.
Chase Bree and I were the only people silently enjoying our ice-y goodness, the other three were still bickering back and forth. I noticed that Chase was rather the silent one. He participated in the conversation, but just enough.
I was still trying to get comfortable with them so, I just answered whenever the question was directed to me.
Chase's fleeting eyes were pausing on me, every once and surprisingly, it didn't bother me as much as I thought it would. Maybe, because he hasn't done anything to make me uncomfortable, yet. Maybe, because he looks too good to make anyone uncomfortable in a bad way. Or maybe, he really is just a good person.
Ten minutes before the end of our break, we left the parlor. Mia and I went to class together and talked in hush voices in the back row. Mia was actually a cool girl. She wasn't pretentious or full of herself like most of the good-looking teenagers I've met. Yeah, she is dead serious about her diet, her clothes and style, but that's understandable. Everyone has their own obsessions. I have, too.
Next period I sat with Chase. He has saved a seat and Matt was late to class. " Fiona?" He asked when the teacher was facing away.
"Hmm?"
"Are you free this weekend?"
I felt uneasiness crept in my stomach. I think you are, actually, a good boy. Please don't ruin it. I don't want you to ruin it. I want to feel okay with a boy.
"Depends on what you have to say." I replied scribbling in my notebook. He chuckled quietly.
"Will you go shopping with me? There's my cousin's wedding and I need to buy clothes. And I'm terrible at shopping." He pouted.
I shook my head. "Chase... I... I don't thin—"
"I asked Mia but she said she's got an appointment at the spa and god knows Matt doesn't know how to buy a f*****g candy. I would ask Brianna but, she's got a test on monday so, I don't think she'll agree." He rushed out.
"And what about Ashto—"
"What's going on there?" The teacher yelled and we went silent for a minute. Don't want to get detention.
"Ashton is in the same class with Brianna." He whispered, this time more quietly. Oh.
"Okay, fine." I sighed.
"What? I mean, really?" He beamed ear to ear.
"Mr. Hartford and Miss Marriott. Do you need to see the detention room?" The teacher interrupted again and this time we didn't talk again. But I was still thinking, if I made the right choice? Going shopping with him?

A horn blared loudly two times and I hurriedly put a last coat of mascara and sprinted down the stairs, leaving my room behind in an unusual mess.
My heels clad footsteps clicked on the stairs and my mom came out of the living room, followed by pops and dad. Today being Saturday, they were chilling in the living room watching t.v.. And today being Saturday, I was supposed to go shopping with Chase.
"Where are you going?" Mom asked eying my outfit. A cream colored skirt and a white blouse.
"Shopping." I answered.
"With who?" Pops.
"With Chase..." I rolled my eyes at them.
Dad frowned at that. "Is he the boy you have a crush on?"
"No!" I exclaimed. " I've told you guys before, I don't have f*****g crush on anyone! He's just a friend I'm going to shopping with 'coz he need some clothes."I explained, trying to get them off my back.
"Wait a minute. Isn't he who should take you out to shopping? I thought that's how the dynamics work on a date. Chipmunk, you're not going anywhere with him. He's a pussy." Pops declared like I'll give a s**t.
"For f**k's sake, we are not going on a date. And he isn't a p***y. People who call others p***y, are." I glared at him.
The horn sounded again and I gave pointed look to all of them before opening the door. Just before I could shut the door, mom yelled,
"Next time tell your date to pick you at the front door!" I opened the door wide and slammed it shut with a force like the hulk.
"What was that?" He chuckled behind me. He has parked just outside my door and was leaning on the hood of his sleek black Tesla.
"Nothing. Just my family being annoying. As usual." I offered a tight lipped smile and he chuckled in return.
I went to the passenger side but he beat me and opened the door for me. The gesture was sweet, but that is why it bothered me. I turned to him, the door between us. "It's not a date. I could've done that on my own."
"Yes. Yes, you can. But my mom raised me to be a gentleman. And it's not necessary for it to be a date, if I open the door for you."
I nodded slowly and sunk into the seat. He started the car and exited my driveway, putting music in a low volume. He bobbed his with the beat of the song and hummed the lyrics
"So what did your parents say?" He asked between his humming.
"About what?" I asked back, scrolling through my i********: feed.
"I thought I heard them say to tell your date to pick you at the front ndoor next time." An amused smile danced on his lips which he didn't put any effort to hide.
"What else did you hear?" I asked. Suddenly panicked that he might have heard the whole interaction.
"Only that one" He chuckled. "Why do I feel like you didn't want me to hear anything else?"
"Trust me, I don't want you to hear anything of what they say." I grumbled
"I can understand," he grinned. The grin you show when you have something to say, that you know, will rile the other person up.
"It might be something that will embarrass you if your crush hears it."
"You're not my crush, Chase. You wish, but you're not." I put my phone aside. "There might be girls drooling all over you, impressed by your looks but I'm not one of those girls. All of that," I gestured to his face. "Doesn't work on me. And if you want me to help you with the shopping, don't try anything on me."
He looked uncomfortable, not quite meeting my eyes. "Uh... That was unexpected. And intense. I was just... joking but, yeah... Okay...." He drawled and went back to his silent driving.
Was my outburst uncalled for? Maybe yes. He was just teasing me and I knew that. He wasn't making a move, he did nothing wrong. God, now I'm feeling bad. I don't think it is how you make friends.
But what if, he is being friendly now to charm me and will try something later. Every boy does that, doesn't they? I swear if he has something like that in his mind, then he's got another thing coming.
But the thing is, I don't want him to be like that. I want him to be the nice guy that I assume he is. Because, I want to finally get out of this prison I've made for myself.
I want to make friends.
I want to be free.
I want to be normal.
And most importantly, I want to forget everything that had made me like this. A boy repellent.
