Marty looked at Abby. “I"ll go with whatever you want,” she said to her husband.
Marty turned to Scott and said, “Okay, a couple of days and if we don"t have any information that makes a big difference in the way things look, we start trying to settle the case. Until then, I"ll lay low and sit facing doors and windows.”
“I have a slightly different proposal,” Scott replied.
“Okay, we"re listening,” Marty said.
“Give me until the end of this week. Cook"s deposition is Thursday and I want to go after him. By Friday, we"ll know Cook"s testimony and where we have him locked into lies. I"ll also have a full report from Lee by then. In the interim, you guys take two or three days away from home. Go stay at a nice hotel where you know no one and no one knows you. We"ll meet back here Friday m
