“You two know each other?” Racheal asked, looking confused. She shifted her gaze from her brother to me simultaneously.
“I… yea… I know Laura.”
“Yea, of course I know him too,” I said, unsure if it came out well.
“You two seem confused,” Racheal noticed.
“You remember Penelope? My fiancée. Laura is her sister. It is a good thing that she was there to help you. She's family. You need to rest now. Laura and I would take a walk.”
She laid back quietly on her bed. She didn't seem surprised. She just turned her face to the other side. Something was off.
I was wondering why he was asking if she remembers Penelope. Isn't she his fiancée? Or hasn't he introduced her to his family yet? With the way Penelope sang his name in everyone's ear, I thought she was familiar with his family at least.
